Rented bikes at the 'estatcion Via Verde' in Olvera. Friendly staff, bikes in very good condition. The trail itself is suoer nice and peaceful! Pro tip: don't drink to much beers on the way back to Olvera..! Better safe up till you made it :)

Amazing scenery. A bit windy in January but certainly well maintained and worth for a trip.

Very pleasant loop with stunning views at the top. Going up and down takes a while but we were slowed down because one of us is recovering from a knee injury. The section at the top is on a dirt road; bit less idyllic but still good fun. Be prepared to see vultures from very close!

Key note: you need permission to walk this trail! It can be obtained at the visitor centre in El Bosque. The permit is free, you will receive a document to take along. The trail itself is nice and easy. The first 3 to 4 km's on a gravel road lead you slightly down to a valley. You can pay a lot of attention to the serroundings because the road is very easy (for all levels). The loop leads through the woods, comes with nice fauna and is more challenging than the first km's. A big chunk of the loop is natural stairs. All in all good fun!

Beautiful hike and views from the top. A resident goat as well. Also, the scrambling is only at the very top so bring a trekking pole for the hike down but nothing dangerous if you can prepared.

A nice trail with two very satisfying summits each with great views. The trail is labeled as 'easy' but it has some really steep scrabbly sections. Luckily we brought our poles but even then I slipped a few times. I have to admit that we did accidentally did the trail backwards and that might have made a difference. (Backwards according to how the all trails elevation guide reads) Most of the trail is on the north/west side of the hill. We started out around 11am in January and most of the trail was in the shade with a bit of a chill. Also, be prepared to lose the trail in a few places but it is super easy to see where you need to go and to recover the trail.

We absolutely loved the hike, it had some amazing views and was fantastic to get out of the busy city. We did however think it was a 16km round walk and were a bit surprised that it was actually 16km one way and 32km there and back from Granada. However it didn’t matter because it was a great hike. Would absolutely recommend this hike, definitely bring water, snacks and tissues...

Very nice walk. well maintained trail leading up the shoulder into an amazing valley on the backside. The view out over Antequera is precious. Looking forward to doing it again soon. we walked slow and it was 2 hours in and two hours out. (at a very slow pace)

Ruta espectácular por las playas y calas de San José. Vistas preciosas.

very beautiful and tranquil place. protected from the winds and bathed in light. Cavemen never had it so good as when they lived here. i was overcome with the urge to roll out a mat and tag a map it was so peaceful.

Good hike. Clockwise is the better direction with a steep ish incline at the start but levels out afterwards. Follow the signs for Mirador. See the viewpoint but get back on the trail (not the road) and then it's a very flat return to your car. If your feet are sore dip them in the cold stream at the end.
