Loved this trail, spectacular views

Paths are well maintained, navigation is easy to follow. This isn't the hardest trail in the world but you'll feel it. I enjoyed looking at all the caves and rocky areas this trail had. Dogs are allowed and I enjoy that could do a short trail with them. I went on a Saturday afternoon at around 16H00 and did not find it too busy across two groups. The trail is rocky and mostly shade.

Great route. We (moderately fit 40+) did it in about 4 hours. Ravine is steep and some bits of the walk are quite technical but also lovely and shaded. Stunning views over Cape Town. We missed a few turns here and there, but there were usually other paths to follow fairly close by. Route isn’t too busy, which was nice.

Murderous opening 2km or so: steps, steps and more steps. Does mean you gain altitude swiftly and are rewarded with a beautiful elevated position and sweeping views in almost 360 degrees (and a much easier return journey). Quiet trail, well constructed but in need of a little TLC at the moment to maintain and keep clear. Jan 2020

This trail is a nice alternative to Table Mountain. We have extended the trail to V&A Waterfront which gives a nice mix between wildlife and city walk. it is an easy walk. Walking down from Signal Hill to V&A Waterfront is a bit steep.

First section to the top is strenuous, rocky, at the end you are clambering. Gets your heart rate up! The way down for the 8 k circular route is easy and gradual via the contour path. I would not take the same up way down (the 6k) because that would be tricky and very heavy on the knees. We did it with our 11 and 12 year old daughters who are relatively fit, and it was a fun hike. The fynbos here is mind blowing, such colour and diversity. We hiked in January on a cloudy day. Pack lots of water.

Not as picturesque as Skeleton gorge. Simple - part of the trail goes along the road. Don’t miss first lake at the top - worth swimming in it to the dam at the opposite side of the reservoir

Most beautiful of short trails in CT. Beautiful sandy beach at the top and a lake to swim in (naked if you like). At the summit you can access many different trails

Fantastic family hiking conditions. Easy!

A fairly easy walk in comparison to Lion's head.

Fun trail! Very popular so expect a crowd and expect a queue for the ladders.

Great trail. Starts out easy and misery index turns up from there. Can get cold, windy, wet, even in summer. Windbreaker, sweater, etc a must.

One of the most beautiful hikes I’ve ever done! Definitely a strenuous one, and be prepared for proper bouldering and rock climbing. Took us 2.5 hours to the top not including breaks (which I took often as this is a difficult one- but totally worth it!). Make sure you have plenty of water sunscreen and so on, there is nearly no shade on the trail.

Trail is at Zebula golf course (not Knysna). Very nice walk although not marked very well. Steep uphill and downhill patches.

Incredible hike with amazing views. Definitely challenging, including some bouldering. Took us about 2.5 hours to get up, taking breaks for photos and water. Definitely bring plenty of water! Also, there is a cafe at the top with snacks and beverages, a great place to watch the sun set and then tram down! Note, the wait for the cable car descent was about an hour and a half, and it was chilly and windy up there so bring layers!
