Made it to the top of the hill but we had to abandon the walk due to not wanting to get stuck in a peat-bog. There isn’t really a path once you get to the top so not sure this is really an actual walk even though it says there is a footpath on OS maps too. There are no signposts or footpath markers so only really attempt if you are a seasoned walker with navigation equipment and can recognise a bog! Beautiful view over The Valley from the top of the hill once we got there.

Just over an hours drive from Edinburgh. We parked in the nature reserve car park - costs £3. Tea room, shops and toilets all available. Great wee trail. Views on a nice day are fantastic. Well worth getting out of Edinburgh. Highly recommended. Never seen so many butterflies and bees.

Stunning landscape with multiple seabird colonies all along. A bit hilly but well maintained.

Nice mix of terrains. Walk through the town of Melrose, then along an old train track, through some woodland, on farm track then finishing the last stretch along the river which was beautiful!

A nice walk through farmland and pine forests. I walked from Selkirk to Hawick and it was very pleasant.

May 2019. Rode with Mick on 5 day trip to Scotland with Adam, Mick & Malcolm. Trails were all fast and dry. Probably the only time I’ve been at the top of Minch Moor and not needed a coat. This was a good day.

Great trail, easy route and very scenic. Can add an extra few miles and walk along the coast to Eyemouth too

Great walk stunning views

A gentle wander with a few rolling hills. Beautiful views out to sea and stunning ecosystems in the rock pools with fish, birds and sea life. Stunning spot for a sunrise or sunset

for a beginner this trail is not suitable.me and my GF went there today expecting a gentle ride but it was not.the path is mostly rocky with big dips sometimes.mire to the end of track.anyway I enjoyed the track very much.wuld go again.

One of the best I’ve ridden

Part of the Borders Abbey Way trail. This portion from Hawick to Selkirk was amazing. We walked through farmland (why you need your dog on a leash), forest, marsh, small roads and towns, and even a golf course! The whole time you see and follow remains of old dry stone wall which is really neat. Trail markers were a little difficult to follow at times but that only added to the adventure. It is nice that it ends and starts in towns, all in which have historic remains of old Abbeys.
