amazing winter hike. lots of snow drifts and +60km/h winds. completed Jan 19/2020. if you are lucky the views from the top are 10/10. don't stray off the cairns on the summit approach. 1000m drops. go prepared and have your gear. rescue crews are often called up here. the highlands are epic!

do you know, if there are any steps on the trail? i would like to walk it with my son who rolls with a swisstrac and a wheelchair. it can go through sand and up and down on small paths but no stairs / high steps.

Wonderful view! A wee bit slippery and windy so dress properly.

Did this hike in January. It was muddy and there were very high winds. The views were worth it, and the snow squalls at the top quickly covered the landscape, making the scene quite stunning.

Great shorthand easy walk. Did it it rainy and blustery weather, so was very muddy and in places the paths were rivers. Path that leads to ruined church (2nd church) near end of walk was hard to find in these conditions.

Great walk through woodland with views up to the Cairngorms. Flat path all the way round. Signposts dotted about so you can shorten or lengthen the walk if you wanted.

we did it on 25th Aug 2019 and its super hot and super rush and we enjoyed being and hiking with more people along with us.

Late Nov 19. Do not attempt in Wet or icy conditions! Most of the trail is in great condition but there are a few show stoppers as it would be dangerously slippery which could result in serious injury/death. Recommend a thermal and shell for the accent, put pack a down jacket on the way down. Great historical hike as the MacDonalds escaped the 1692 massacre and their cattle in this valley. There are nice views of the Glencoe valley on the way up, and of the hidden valley but for the region it’s a solid 4

This place is truly magical. You’re right in the middle of the Black Cuillins and it’s so peaceful if you arrive early in the morning. She. I say early, I mean 8:00 AM if possible. The numbers increase heavily by 11:00 AM. The trail isn’t heavily marked but you’ll know where it is due it’s heavy use. It goes one for quite a while. There will be some stones you have to jump across to get into the main sections. You can swim in the pools, but they’re nice and cold. I went in early June which was the perfect time to visit. Expect bugs (the dreaded midges) in July if it gets warm. Parking will cost you two pounds as a trail fee. Pay the fee. The road to get there is essentially single track in spots so take your time and enjoy the scenery.

it was an easy, not very steep. lots of good views including the waterfall. some river crossing on the rope bridge of 20m long is required to get close to the waterfall.

We only planned on going to the famous viewpoint where everyone turns around. Once we got there we noticed a small trail that leads over a fence and behind the mountain. Deciding to explore a little we ended up climbing completely to the Summit. SO WORTH IT! If you are able, definitely do the whole hike and don’t turn around at the first viewpoint. Only two very small scrambles and the rest is a very leisurely walk!
