Did the trail in Sept 2017. It is steep in few areas and felt tough with my son in the backpack carrier. But the views at the end were definitely worth it.

Quick hike up to the Tower (~1 mile) and we got a nice breeze at the top. Unfortunately the visibility was very limited so can’t report on what I have to assume are sweeping views of the park down to the beach.

Definitely go during low tide! Our walk along the beach was in and out of the water enough that I ended up abandoning my shoes entirely. The parts through the trees were a little overgrown...we lost the trail a couple times and had to backtrack a tiny bit to find it again. Beautiful views, though!

Very nice, mystery beach. Very sad it was very littered.

This trail is relatively easy. We're a bit out of shape and we made it, though we had to stop for breaks a few times at the really steep parts. The trail is paved with cement and stones but the stones can get quite slippery so watch your step! It's also very narrow so you have to step off the trail to let people pass if there's foot traffic both ways. The view from the top is pretty cloudy, so try to go on a clear day is possible. There are still pretty views from the top with clouds but I imagine it would be much better without them. Parking is limited so get there early or you're going to have to walk pretty far too and from the trail!

Caminata agradable muy fácil y bien señalizada. La hice con mi hija de dos años y 10 amigas todas las edades. 30 minutos de caminata para llegar

this a great trail in the Yunque. Pretty well developed and not too long. Quite a bit of foot traffic and steep with many tourists. There is an alternative way down, or up, by simy following the paved service road. The service road is quite a bit further though.

Paved with occasional steps. Great payoff with view. Not fare, many first time sightseers in their 60s

It was a nice hike. Beautiful while going along the beach. Make sure to check the tide before heading there if you want to swim in it. We didn’t and it wasn’t safe to go down to the trench but it is a nice view anyway. We went on a week day and we were the only people there so that was nice.

Great trail, a lot of options with different difficulty levels.

This is a pretty easy fun hike! We parked near the bottom on the road, alongside the road then started up yo the tower. The path was wet so some parts slick but it wasn’t too bad. Very humid and muggy bit that’s to be expected in a rainforest. We did this trail to the tower then did the additional trail to the Yunque Peak!

We did Mt Britton Trail > Mt Britton Tower > Mt Britton Spur > El Yunque Trail > Picachos > Yunque Peak > La Roca and then back to Mt Britton trail via the forest service road. What a hike! Great views, it did get cloudy and rainy for a bit but that’s to be expected and there was something mystical about walking through the clouds. Highly recommend this hike!

Incline all the way up awesome view at the top of the tower

Great trail! The rocks can be a bit slick near the bottom, but no real risk of slipping otherwise.

Everything in El Yunque is great. Love it. Still in restoration due to the devastation caused by hurricane Maria but is open to the public and in good shape. Dog friendly and kids friendly too. This trail is easy.

Great!

steep but really easy to follow. it is a bit narrow though if there is a lot of traffic.

Very steep! My only complaint was the very thin trail going up for the first portion of it, was hard as people were not giving hikers going up the right of way, nor going down so I was a bit confused. Beautiful view, beautiful tower, beautiful flowers all around as well. Lovely place.

Steep, but short (completed it in 1:15 hrs round trip) At the end you have the option to move on to another trail within the park (I skipped it this time). Great for a nice morning workout with amazing view. If going on weekends I recommend getting there early so you can park near the start of the trail, if not they close the parking area and the closest one is not close at all. Highly recommended!!

This is a great trail. However, it is very steep. You'll climb a cemented and rock trail about 3,000+ feet. Most people are friendly on the trail, both in passing up or down the mountain. Words of encouragement are said to you by those who come down after completing the trail which ends at the Mount Britton Tower. And as you make your way down after completing the trail yourself, you find yourself doing the same. The hike is totally worth it. Parking is limited but they do have buses that will take you up. If you don't mind walking a little, park at the 'Palo Colorado Recreation Area' and then hike the road up to the one-way only location. It's an extra 4-5 km and totally worth it.

Great trail. Worn narrow mixed stone and cement path provides solid footing without being too easy or civilized. Loved every step. Stunning views along the way and from the tower on top.

amazing! magical!
