Nice and moderate hike through a vineyard.

Couldnt complete the trail. Elsa storm had passed in the regions few days ago and the path was destroyed. After roughly a third of the trail it was so difficult to progress that we were down to 21mn/km so we decided to turn back. In the current state i guess it is still doable for experienced hikers with good equipment, enough battery for the mobile and gps and enough time before night. I still put 3 stars because the first third is great, very much "lord of the ring" type of atmosphere with rocky path, lots of water and a luxurious vegetation.

This one of the most beautiful trails we did in geres. Lots of sightseeing and lots of nature. Beware that there are lots of river crossings and if its a rainy weather you'll need some waterproof boots.

Hiking the Camino was one of the most amazing experiences of my life! I booked my flight a week prior to the hike and started super unprepared- this made for a beautiful experience. I hiked in November/ December of 2018. it was rainy and cold but ever so breathtaking. Hiking in the fall was a great choice since there are very few pilgrims and albergues always have enough empty bed for the night.Just make sure to bring good rain gear and a warm sleeping bag. I would hike it again any day.

Great trail to do and I will definitely do it again. some areas are a bit steep and rocky others the vegetation is overgrown.

Awesome trail. Easy to find markers. Not many pilgrims

Not spectacular. To much public roads aside from my mistake. I forgot to take the trail again.

Fantastic trail with great views and lots of different terrain. Loved it, but, for us, not well trained hikers, moderate = on the limit...

Really pretty trail, crossing forests and some small villages. Came across loads of animals (chickens, cows, horses, geese, etc.) and also saw some small streams. Really good views!

The first part of this trail is part of the Roman road hike. That trail is well used, mostly flat, and easy to navigate. When we went there was some traffic but not crowded by any means. Some scattered Roman ruins, sound of rushing water, generally very pleasant. Once across the high bridge the trail changes. It was mostly overgrown. Few people use it. Lots of thorns, downed trees, etc. We aren’t afraid of some unkempt trails so we did the first half of the other side of the river, but didn’t do the last mountain. It stopped being pleasant after getting scraped constantly with bushes and thorny plants for an hour so we joined back up with the original trail and competed that way. It could be a great trail with more use or some aggressive path clearing.

Started on this trail at 7 am in the morning in July, and no one was there at that hour. Parking on the road is difficult to find because there isn't any, however, if you park at the camping entrance access point you will have some luck. Although you can't see the parallel roadway from the trail, this riverbank trail does follow the road, so don't worry about getting lost. it's impossible for that to happen with or without the all trails app. You can sometimes hear the cars go by. Here are some pros and cons to this hike. PROS; 1) it can be done in 2 hours roundtrip with a brisk pace. 2) Running Water everywhere and you will cross 3 bridges inorder to stay on the trail 3) Ancient Roman stone trade walk way is still on the trail. 4) Clear water along the river bank. 5) A waterfall at one of the bridges. However, it's not easily accessible by foot. 6) Lots of shade, and very nice climate 7) Easy to hike regardless of experience 8) Very green rainforest hike environment CONS: 1) Bugs everywhere, because there's so much water. Wear long sleeve shirts and pants, so that you can avoid getting bit. If you don't have pants or long sleeve shirts, Bring and wear bug spray.

Completed the Camino De Santiago Portugues costal route with my 17 year old son. Loved every minute of it!!! 180 miles, 13 days... the app crashed a few times towards the end and didn’t record the last couple of days which was a bummer. As far as the trail goes, we started in Porto Portugal. Got our pilgrim books from the cathedral and left the next morning. Followed the river out of Porto and toward the coast. Finally started seeing the yellow arrows and followed them for the next 170 miles. If anyone has any questions about this route please feel free to message me and I’ll be glad to chat with you!!
