(Hiked early September ) One of my favourite hikes. The trail was very muddy due to rain so be careful as was a little washed out. But over all 100% worth it

Devient dangereux quand le sentier est recouvert de neige. La dernière partie se fait sur des gros cailloux instables et la neige dissimule les trous. Le lac est gelé à partir d’octobre.

I would highly recommend this trail to anybody who likes low level walking around a 300m ascent up a river, although at this time of year (oct onwards) you need to be careful on a few of the river crossings as can be slippery when icy. Wooded areas with the chance to spot foxes, eagles or reindeer and a nice suprise when you get to the end of the trail.

An absolutely awesome climb. Different terrain and stunning views all the way up the mountain. Highly Recommended!

The steps created by the Sherpas a few years ago were a joy to climb. 1003 in total took us around 30 mins to climb to the top, but tremendous views from the top and an option to continue to the summit

From the half way to the end it’s more climbing than hiking, try to catch hiking stiks they will help while going down. Also be carefull with the weather when departing : While I was climbing the weather was clear but some snow started to fall on the top. When arrived there it was covered in white and very sliperry...

Not so hard end of the afternoon walk. Wonderful views.

Lots and lots of rocks to walk over and about 1% scrambling near the lake. Worth it. I feel like this was almost a difficult hike due to the length and amount of time hiking on rocks (96%). Trail is marked with cairns about every 100-150 meters.

Perfect trail conditions. A few piles of rocks (morraines) to step over but not strenuous. Long hike though. Hiking next to the river is very pretty. Small picnic bench about halfway in near the bridge.

There are wooden planks you walk on for at least 50% of the time. The other 50% is boggy or somewhat muddy areas. Very pretty views at the end though at the lake. Super calm water. There's an outhouse near the lake with toilet paper. 2 benches with tables along the hike. Easy for Norwegian standards but in the USA, it would be a moderate hike due to the length...about 9 miles down and back. A few mosquitos if you stop but nothing like Tuolumne Meadows in July at Yosemite National Park.
