Great track to get your heart rate up as it's a solid ascent either side, and works your quads just as much on the way down. lots of it is shaded by the trees which also unfortunately doesn't help with the views. The loop was a great option to cover different ground, and end up on the beach before heading back to the car - recommend if you're up for a hike that will make you work hard!

Great trail (Trig K trail on the map of the grounds), but be aware that it’s mostly just a trodden trail if you do the whole thing - not for the weak of ankles. Took us about 2.5 hours, and we went up the steep part first and ended by passing the waterfalls. Beautiful (but chilly)!

Nice easy walk, view is great

Très agréable, Petite randonnée tranquille bien aménagée.

Fun little slice of tidal wetlands. If you like that sort of thing you'll dig it. Good views of waterfowl + inverts along the river. Shipwreck is cool and has a picnic table for a mid-loop break. Trail can get a bit muddy and was very windy when I walked it.

cute and small waterfalls, pretty steep on the way up but it is a nice view. worth it of you're keen to sweat a bit and dont mind the wild pigs around. ( They are fine and not really to be worried about). Mostly shaded but only took about 2.5 hours not the 4 they say it will.

just round the corner from Blenheim you find yourself in another world, tranquil walk and shipwreck at its end with a picnic table :) a few muddy spots after rain

This track is no longer available as there are NO TRESPASSING signs keeping you from walking on private land

great trail for half a days walk. you can take the long or short route both will take you to the shipwreck. at the shipwreck you can continue north along the Kotaku track which runs down the side of the opaoa river. if you have a portable fishing rod and a freshwater license take it with you !

Nice and easy truck, with a beautiful view in the end. Was a bit steep, and the waterfall are nothing in particular

Easy loop track with otherworldly landscape and a shipwreck at the halfway point.

Surprisingly steep, but good view from the top! Great if you need a 2-3 hour semi rigorous hike. Lots of shade, you aren’t exposed to the sun.

For an easy walk it was beautiful this time of year. Had a play on the old shipwreck, the flowers are blooming and the sun was shining

Hope they will work something out so we can walk it again.

1 St fall is very smal. Second is better, good to take a dive.

Was wet, needed hiking boots as was not suitable for walking shoes. shipwreck was fun for the kids to see.

I walked the loop track during the winter months. I found it boring during that time as there was no bird life nor no flowers. Also the tide was out.Nice to see the hills each side

I enjoyed this level loop around a local lagoon with layers of hills visible all around. Lots of geese and other birds.
