Get two peaks on one trail. First peat Mt Komagabayashi and Mt Mison in one trail. Lots of steps but beautiful views.

Beautiful view, instead of there and back we took the Omoto trail back and did a second peak at Mt Komagayashi. Great colors in Late November, best Black Friday ever.

Tough climb with a lot of stairs but the views made it worth it! Saw one snake on the steps but that just added to the experience!

Great trail. Walked up the mountain via the track off to the west that goes past Takimaya Shrine, Shiraito Falls, Azumaya Observation Deck etc and joined this one for the trek down. Well formed track the whole time, mixes between completely paved to well worn dirt and A LOT of stairs. Lots of people at the top that take the cable car up, and walk down, so don’t expect solace and peace on the trail, but the burn in the legs and the 360 views from the numerous lookouts make it worthwhile. Very picturesque shrines and temples along the way and a nice break from the hordes of people at the Isukushima Torii. Amenities are along the way also, and a vending machine at the Baiten Shinto Shrine if you need a water top up.

worth all the steps, beautiful

Beautiful hike up Mt Misen. Track is well built with numerous signs along the way. Great view from the top

Good trail if you like steps. Lots of steps. Well worn and easy to follow. It gets a little crowded towards the top where all the ropeway users merge into it. Fantastic 360° view at the top. Not too difficult. Recommended to all.

I loved this trail! Mostly because of its view from the top, but also because of the nature on the way up! The only downside is the amount of people on the trail, but if you hike to the second highest peak you’ll find a nice top with not too many people!

Lots of stairs! Although the stairs do maintain a natural feel since they're made of rocks from the area. What they trails may lack in being unpaved they make up for in size, with about 2.8 km of stairs, you'll feel the burn. Great views of the island and surrounding area, totally worth it!

A ton of stairs, beware. Still beautiful and serene, though. Really recommend it, especially since there's more than one way up and back down. Not to mention the base of the mountain has a swarm of wild deer that love people and let you pet them.

A beautiful trail with a number of small temples and shrines located along the way. You can take the hanging gondola most of the way up or down if you choose to make things easier. Near the top is an ancient temple where refreshments are sold.
