easy beautiful trail

It’s a nice walk but not a must see if time is a crunch. We did the trail in 30 minutes. Again a very nice walk in nature

Don’t know if I agree with the “Hard” rating, path is fairly worn and straight forward, lots of loose rock and a bit of a steep incline at some points. Great intermediate hike with a beautiful and rewarding view from the top. Should take about an hour to an hour and a half for the average climber to summit, leaving tons of time to soak it in when you reach the top!

Definitely worth getting up super early. Must use a local guide. Crowded as expected but a spectacular experience. Trail is initially on the road then breaks off. Last 1/4 is tough in spots but not terribly difficult.

Loved the trail for rice field views and easy walk.

Great night hike and sunrise views from the top are impressive. The trail can get overcrowded and is only accessible with a local guide.

We did this as a round trip to take in rice fields and Munduk waterfalls. Most trails are concrete paths and easy to follow with some really steep sections. Amazing views, good waterfalls, and a great view into rural Balinese life.

Top tip: take a dry top to change into, as you'll be sweating when you get there and the wind chill will start to effect you. It's cold at 1700 metres! Wear hiking shoes/boots if you've got 'em, it's slippery on the way down.

Nice easy work, very accessible from Ubud township. Reasonably exposed so make sure you have sun protection and water with you.

This is a nice walk with some steeper bits but nothing hard. Though there were people on the trail it was a nice respite from the constant scooter cacophony of the town streets. The rice paddies in the upper portions were peaceful and beautiful. Had a fresh mango smoothie at one of the number of small places dotting the trail.

Loved it. Took our 10month old and our 3year old the guide insisted that he carry our 3year old - he did an amazing job..! Bikes going up and down get a bit annoying, but it’s nice to know they are there.. they do kick up dust too! They did try watering the track down a bit but still quite dusty. We found the weather to be amazing.. it was 13° which is their average, we were told.. so we packed warm clothes for nothing

Easy walk. Doable in flip flops. Fairly busy as well. Some nice cafes/restaurants overlooking rice terraces at the end.

Went on a different route. Got lost at times as path is sometimes hard to find. People sent me the correct way at times. In jungle, through fields. Ended up having to go through a hotel resort to get back onto main road.

Interesting walk, amazing waterfalls even in dry season.

Easy walk, even for children.

The hike in itself was beautiful and we had only a slightly obscured sunrise but it was beautiful. The hike is a class 1 fairly wide path, the challenge is the amount of people going up at the same time. We did a guide as I’m sure 99% people do and it’s a two sided coin. On one you are supporting the local economy and we had a great guide who cared deeply about the mountain and community. On the other side it is a money driven activity for many and definitely some racketeering going on if you don’t play the game. A beautiful experience that can be remembered two ways. Hydrate

Don’t mind my recording. Totally messed up and forgot to hit end when the guide got us back to the starting point. There was 8 adults and 1 child and we knocked it out in 3hrs 45mins. 2hrs 15min going up and 1hr 30min going down. This sunrise hike is remarkable. So peaceful and relaxing after a hard hike up. Take your time but plan according so that you don’t miss sunrise. Anticipate a very very busy trail. Hundreds of people hiking
