We went slightly off piste but lovely walk with a dog. A bit muddy but it is winter so something to expect.

Nice walk, though very muddy (January). Don’t underestimate the slopes. The part of the walk after the clapper bridge is quite a steep uphill climb. Also, if you have a dog that likes exploring, be aware that there is a lot of poorly maintained barbed wire fencing defining the path line. Left our dog on a lead for much of the walk because of this.

A good walk through pleasant landscape taking in 2 scenic riverside sections. Walk taken in the winter when the ground was rather wet but still accessible with correct footwear

we had an issue with navigation. which ment we took the long way

So beautiful! Picture perfect Castle Combe!

Great easy walk especially in late afternoon/evening when the light hits everything just right! definitely wear shoes/boots you don't mind getting muddy as the trail is very muddy in some areas!

Lovely walk. Definitely need wellies at this time of year

A lovely walk today, very peaceful, only the birds to listen to and barely a sole on the paths. We managed to see several deer despite having a bouncy puppy in tow. I’d highly recommend walking boots or wellies if you go after it has been raining. I couldn’t see much parking though we were lucky to get a spot and someone else was waiting for our spot as we were leaving.

Nice Walk, amazing views. Up hill at the start. Good for Dogs. Couple Stiles and Kissing gates but always space for my lab to get through.

Free carpark, easy to follow route which is signposted. Lots of little stalls with home made refreshments on route so handy to have a few pounds in your pocket. Lovely varied walk taking in the village, some forestry and a golf course. Friendly route, lots of walkers around. Some of the gates maybe difficult for prams. Easy to do an extended version - 9.5k.

Beautiful...part following the river, part bluebell woods..an amazing walk with lots of wildlife.

The trail was beautiful but the instructions on how to find the trail head were poor!

A pleasant walk through the village, along a short stretch of The Ridgeway and back down a disused railway. Not exactly the back of beyond but pleasing views and easy going.

Excellent trail with great views and varied landscapes. Forest was covered in bluebells. Veer of to nice pub in Mendenhall or go into Marlborough but don’t miss The Merchants House.

Excellent walk, beautiful countryside.

If you want some miles under your belt then it's a good yomp. The start and end are scenic but the walk through Calstone Downs then up to and along the Roman Road is quite dull and seems longer than that it is but a walk is a walk and it's taught me what I like and unlike
