Enjoyable walk, slightly muddy but not surprising after all the rain we have had recently. Would do again. visited the Barley Mow pub for a drink which is a nice cosy pub. staff very pleasant and gave our dog some tasty snacks. thanks.

Lovely walk, amazing views, especially at the start. Could be a new favorite! It was a bit muddy but nothing that a pair of good boots couldn’t manage.

Lovely views, it was just so muddy on most of it because tractors have been going up and down the trails. A 2 hour walk took us 3 hours because of the mud.

Great walk. Wellies would have been a better idea than walking boots in January though! Lots and lots of mud and the path at the very end of the walk was completely flooded so had to finish it on the road.

Really lovely walk to do with the dog, lots of big off lead sections for a proper run around. It was very very muddy when we went, but still a really good, scenic walk.

Parked at the pub bit muddy to start with and a bit overgrown but easily got around. After that very scenic walk and a we now have a very tired pup

Step climb whatever direction you do it. We did it backwards. Good though and views worth it when at 3 particular places up the hill

Nice 4 hour hike with some sharp spikey accents, the potential for some great views (weather dependent). Super boggy in the low sections through the farmland.

Easy flat walk. Very wet n muddy. Deer are farmed so assures to see. Some of the paths on the AllTrails map show paths that aren’t public right of way and our proper GPS and is map saved the day. All in all a good walk. Longer than initially thought but would do again. Definitely a wellington boot walk.

A very lovely walk. despite the resent rain most of the walk was pretty solid under foot, apart from the bridleway mentioned in the description which was quite muddy. we parked in the Hesworth car park and followed the route backwards. Navigation was straight forward, there are a lot of tracks in the common but the main ones are clearly marked.

Very good trail with beautiful views. Some steep hills and recent heavy rainfall made it more challenging- some parts were waterlogged and very marshy. Hardly saw anyone else. Highlights were walking through fields of cows and sheep

I wouldn’t have said this was a walk for beginners! The hill is extended and steep at the start but you are rewarded with a stunning view as we were today. There are poetry tins left on the seats on this walk which was a lovely idea. Steyning is a very beautiful town and this is a rewarding -if quite tough- walk .

Lovely walk, good mix of woodland and fields. Looking forward to walking it again to see the views.. Bit too much of a misty December morning this time around.

Delightful walk on a cold December day.

Great walk but slight deviation needed after the first set of arable fields - the farmer appears to have been doing some major earth (and finger post) moving but we just followed an adjacent footpath till meeting up with the route again.

Lovely easy circular walk. Was quite muddy so wished I took welly boots and not walking boots but was very enjoyable all the same. Our dog is 15 years old so can't go too far but he had a great time and the pub at the end (The Worlds End) was very cozy and welcoming. We didn't eat but a lot of people were and the grub looked good.

A tough walk , with some steep climbs, but rewarding views at the top from the ancient hill fort. We did it in late November, and there were some very muddy sections, as well as being windy at the top. Take layers. Dogs loved it.

A lovely walk with gorgeous autumn colors (late November). It was quite muddy but still doable without wellies (except the very last bit before returning to the car park - we walked on the road instead).

Lovey walk. Beautiful views over the Hayling Island and Portsmouth plus the South Downs. A great combination of woodland and open space. Very interesting to see Adsdean House and read about the history. Nice bonus is the Alpaca Sanctuary - closes on Monday and Tuesday - which store is open between 10-12. Really enjoyed this walk. Even in November it wasn’t too muddy (only around the farm).
