Surprisingly scenic, misty winters morning burnt of to clear blue made the views really nice enjoyable easy walk recommended

Bit boring too much walking around city, Some nice parts which were around the reservoir and a trail path . Also too many busy roads .

Lovely trail but big dogs loose in field at 5km mark so had to double back, they belonged to the home nearby but were loose and huge. Really enjoyable and easy to follow, advise when you get to Truggist lane stay on it instead of going down Hodgitts as waterlogged in places.

Great walk through parks in Birmingham

Great walk, especially if you live in the area.

Great dog walking spot. Lovely views at the top of Beacon Hill. Tad slippery when wet and muddy.

Great trail - took my 2 little Bichons with me. We headed back to the car at step 5 as both they’re legs (and mine) were tired. Up to this point it was 3.8 miles. Lovely scenery around the parks.

Definitely one for dry weather! Boggy doesn't quite do it justice and in one part my little pooch was practically swimming. Bit too much walking near roads but I've no doubt in better conditions I'd have given it 4 stars. Please note that the short stretch in the churchyard says dogs aren't allowed but I had to ignore that. You're only in there for a few seconds.

Very enjoyable walk through parks, along canal, reservoir and paths. Scenic views of City landmarks but also felt like in middle of countryside even though local knowledge told me we were near major city roads. Would recommend especially when other walks not possible following so much rain as this is mainly paved.

I would recommend doing this trail with someone because it's scary on your own

A great trail mostly away from popular walked areas. Around halfway there was an inaccessible part due to a farmer baring the gate but another path met up with the mapped one. Slope from Adams Hill is a very steep descent.

Managed to follow the instructions at the second attempt. Paths are not good, lots of stones sticking up and uneven areas. There are many uphill parts

I have been walking clent for 55 years but found these instructions difficult to follow, went wrong at 4 stones so will do again and try harder!

Not a bad walk with fairly easy pathways and pleasant views over to Birmingham. There is a small detour as mentioned by another reviewer at the start (or end depending which way you go) near the railway line, which is easily followed to the railway bridge and back down the other side to rejoin the route. My only small complaint would be there is far too much waking on roads, they are mostly very quiet roads, but there is a very dangerous bit where the small road joins the Atherstone Road which is busy and has no footpath and a blind bend and I wouldn’t go that way especially if you have children with you, so I found an alternative route using my OS gps on another footpath to join up the route to avoid this dangerous bit. A bit lazy I feel by the walk author who could have found alternative routes avoiding this bit. You can see on my recordings where the detour path is. All in all not a bad walk.

Starting point is gorgeous but this trail is impacted by significant works at its edge, after the earliest stages.

Single handedly the worst trail I've ever done. Unkept, nettles at every gate which are impossible to avoid (my legs are still tingly, it's been an hour) and it was an average view at best.

The path on this walk is a bit hit and miss, small parts are tarmac which make for easy walking with pushchairs or wheelchairs, but the path is mostly dirt track which has a lot of dips in for collecting rain water which is great fun for kids in their wellies. This canal walk cuts through the main industrial part of the Midlands and because of this it's not the most picturesque walk, but if you want some alone time with not many people around then this is the walk for you, along the walk I saw a total of 4 people on bikes.

It was lovely, views of cows on the way to the quarry

Easy pleasant walk with plenty of benches to sit on along the way if required.
