This is a lovely walk that has the benefit of finishing at a pub, which always helps. With lots of lovely views, it is a combination of a small amount of pavement but predominantly public footpaths a quiet country lane and a couple of little foot bridges crossing the River Stour.

Fantastic walk around Packwood today but be prepared for mud

Great walk, very beautiful. Easy to navigate. But very very very muddy!!

Aside from the road walking this was very muddy all the way round. Some parts were waterlogged. Would be a good walk in better conditions

Very good walk , very muddy . The first wooden bridge was actually closed in need of repair, so we had to climb across the edge to get over the other side .

Beautiful views and peaceful countryside walk across many grassy fields. Walked clockwise and had lunch in Henley so over half way at that stage. Free parking at the castle. Would recommend.

We really enjoyed this walk. It was varied and interesting and not difficult to follow. As others have said, a big plus point is the lovely stopping-off places along the route. We arrived at Packwood House just in time for afternoon tea - a very civilised way to (almost) end a lovely afternoon’s walk.

Quiet, peaceful and scenic walk with changing scenery and paths and canals throughout.

Mostly wooded, relatively flat trail. with Some muddy areas - wear good shoes! Some areas where tree roots make the path uneven.

The first part of this trail to Long Compton was perfect. After this the trail isn’t great, quite a few overgrown paths and we had to turn back and walk along a fairly busy road to get back to our starting point. Wouldn’t recommend.

very nice trail I did it with dog and 2 children one on back one walking! beautiful surroundings and easy access.

OK walk for stretching the legs. Nice and quiet.

Thoroughly enjoyed this pretty walk. Excellent instructions. We lunched at the cafe in Packwood house.

Nice peaceful walk. Dog friendly.

Lovely walk and lots of lovely scenery. It was a bit muddy in places along the canal.

Lovely walk even in the winter! Navigation Inn open all day for food. Instructions were spot on. GPS tracking tended to drain the battery somewhat on my phone.

We too came across the cows and we're not able to complete our walk. We skirted around the first field of cows, but the cows blocked our path next to the stile in the second field. We then turned back only to come face to face with the large bull on the way back. It was a bit scary, but we were fine. Had a nice meal in the Falcon afterwards.
