very muddy in places. wouldnt recommend for children as theres not much to keep you entertained along the way. little difficult to follow at times. at the first part stay IN THE FIELD not on the road as theres no way through and I had to double back.

What a cracking trail, former rail track so good solid surface and well maintained. Lots of off shoot trails throughout the walk making it easy to vary your experience. Free carpark with facilities and a decent cafe.

Brilliant walk - a good first time long walk which offers lots of opportunity to extend the length in Clumber Park. We came off the trail in Clumber to follow a traffic free path and rejoined a kilometre later which was an easy change. We loved the cafe at Cresswell Crags which was a great half way stop.

I use this route regularly on my road or mountain bike

lovely picturesque trail with sections of open fields for dogs and a river for fun. Excellent dog walking location, many variations to the standard route as well

one part does say private property with a gate Infront but tried our luck and walked around it, nice views of the river and wood land. I would suggest there's a nature reserve called skylarks with a car park. not anywhere to park from start of trail

I came here after a full day of rain, there where a few puddles which where expected but enjoyed the blue trail. There are a few testing hills but you get rewarded with the downhill stretches as well

this is an ok walk, good for first timer's, personnally prefer something more challenging. may say free entry but car park is £3+ is picturesque, wouldn't bother putting all your hiking gear on

Very good trail with numerous lovely houses to gawp at and country pubs to frequent. Good country walking with few on road paths. Some parts of it were pretty overgrown though (went in end of sept) so make sure you cover your legs !

I would not recommend doing this walk alone. It is very monotonous. The first part of the walk is very beautiful but after about 2.5 miles you hit farm fields and that’s all you see for the rest of the walk.

Great walk, really enjoyed it! Well kept paths and walkways, easy to follow and plenty to see on the way! A great walk to try if its your first long route!

Vraiment sympa pour découvrir un côté plus insolite de Nottingham

Ok peaceful walk but nothing outstanding. Beware of cyclists who think only they should be using the forest

A long but beautiful walk, was great training

Very overgrown and unkempt. Seems asthough any money made goes towards the main building and nothing else. The iron gates and fencing on the cave entrances are eyesores. Otherwise the nature aspect is quite nice.
