Could do the circular walk as too muddy but even so absolutely lovely. Very good tea and scone at Fairhaven cafe too!

a lovely walk from waypoint one (the car park) to the starting point and back with our dogs this evening. The road up to the village has a good footpath and there is a pub in the village which looks like it will be a welcoming additional waypoint.

Very good trail, can be a bit muddy when raining. Nice and quiet.

We went clockwise from the small car park. Really enjoyed the walk by the water with a nicely laid path and saw an amazing Marsh Harrier! The path turned to grass towards the north of the trail. It was lovely to see the monument, it would’ve been nice to read something about this as we walked by. It is across the water so you can’t get close to the ruin. Shortly afterwards we turned to head south along the straight. WELLIES are highly advisable at this time of year (Oct) Our 3 year old son thankfully had full wet weather gear on and we were all caked in mud! Good fun but not for the faint hearted. We went to the Ship Inn - South Walsham afterwards for Sunday lunch which was delicious but as quite expensive minimum £14 for main course.

Lovely, easy walk in a low sandy dip full of heather (beautiful in September). There are board walk sections and lots of paths to explore. Also fascinating for anyone interested in geography as it’s an ancient shoreline.

The prettiest and most picturesque part of any river in Norfolk I have ever walked,it was a lovely sunny day 1/09/19 good walk all round

It was a decent trail, the common and the bit along the coast is good. We ended up going through private property at the end so probably need to do something different here!

nice easy walk with easy route finding. interesting inland section too. Recommended

Beautiful quiet dog friendly trail with a brilliant dog friendly pub at the end. Pub serves food and real ale and also has a cafe. Flat easy to walk trail alongside some small pretty streams. Perfect.

Nice walk if it wasn't so overgrown. The long straight bit is fairly boring for kids.

lived in Winterton as a child so regularly did this walk, winter season is great as you're greeted by seals along the coastal part of the walk, all the way from winterton to somerton gap, you also have the opportunity to walk by the witches tree which has lots of superstition and history surrounding it. definitely the best way to see the full beauty of what Winterton On sea has to offer.

Lovely peaceful walk. Recommend doing it on a sunny but not hot day. It is a very exposed walk so no shelter from the elements and could be a tad bleak without some sunshine. Great pub at the beginning/end!

Really good and very pretty but watch out for the road walk at the end

An amazing trail for any walker. Beautiful scenery through fields of barley in the summer, alongside glistening rivers and beside the historic Bure Railway. Perfect for dogs too, and for the most part, away from main roads.

watch out for this hike, I'm an experienced hiker and a lot of the trails haven't been walled in a while, they also are not well sign posted.

No problem for us at step 3, clear opening in the hedge. Also want to suggest an extension to this walk by continuing along the railway path to Wroxham for refreshments. Then double back along the railway path to the steps at the bridge over the grass track and continue the walk. By doing this we clocked 7 miles.
