Stunning mix of Liverpool heritage, regeneration and nature. The walk along the Mersey is breathtaking (literally in January!)

Nice views over to Liverpool, and also views of the gardens in new Brighton. Vale park is a lovely place and there is a cafe. Also good as they have children’s fairy houses trail.

Easy path, good for dog walking. Quite windy and sometimes flooding in the path.

Great trail. Paths are visible. Muddy in some places and the sandstone rock, ‘Thor’s rock’ is good to climb.

ok walk.....but very muddy...guess the wrong time of year or just many the ground is waterlogged from all the recent rain....would I do it again, certainly but from March on I guess....

This is a great circular walk, some great views when you reach the top of Billinge hill. This trail dies get very muddy in parts, partly due to weather and partly animal use. So choose your footwear wisely.

Pleasant but some parts unpassable due to the mud. Also some roads where you will need to keep your dog on a lead

Very very muddy on the day I did this. Not surprising because you are walking in tractor treads in boggy fields. I can imagine in the summer/spring this will be glorious and whilst it’s a nice (harder than easy but not difficult) walk, it’s a bit desolate at this time of year. The walk is actually 5.1 miles if you count the walk down the long drive from the Red Fox pub. That said, apart from walking down busy Neston Road/Liverpool Road, the rest of it is fairly remote and off track which makes it a decent walk.

Nice little easy walk. Some muddy parts as to be expected at this time of year but nothing uncrossable. Quite a few lanes and the odd road where you have to keep your dog on a lead but most of these were quiet.

This is a nice, quite challenging route for when it's not too wet. It's otherwise very muddy in places, so much so the paths can't be crossed and you will need to climb around them.Be careful if you have a dog as there are three stiles to cross... My German Shepherd only just managed them. There are also a few roads and several fields in which you will need to keep your dog on a lead because of the sheep.

A very pleasant and almost atmospheric walk along the shoreline.

Excellent flat walk along tidal flats out to island. Need to check tides, search Hilbre Island Tides on the Interwebs.

We love this park. We can walk all along the coast from Wirral country park (Thurstaston), to either West Kirby for the beach in one direction or Parkgate for the delicious ice cream! We love to walk here with our young children and there is also direct access to Thurstaston beach and wonderful hills to enjoy. Lovely day out, especially when the sun is out and plenty of picnic benches.

great route.

We live locally and still love to do this walk. Look out for seals by the old lifeboat station!

Very muddy. Very fun. Flat but the mud makes it challenging. So we feel like we've had a good workout. The Red Fox can be very busy on a Sunday so book in advance or wait at the bar for a while as it's worth it. The Maze only opens in the summer holidays as it needs ...maize, but Brimstage is worth a quick mooch through. Ice cream shop shut too. Very pretty restaurant there called The Mouse. They'll let you have a just a drink and has a mini farm shop. There is a miniature horse knocking about too. Great day love the app

It's a nice gentle walk on the sands and when the Sun is out shining it's a bliss! Wish it was that easy to walk across Wales! :-)

Please check the tide times before you set out. There is an information board with the tide times and walk guidance at the start on the corner of Dee Lane and South Parade

Watch out when walking around the islands. The sand is covered in oil but it’s not visible until you start walking on it.

These islands are in Merseyside not Staffordshire. Caution - The route is only passable at low tide.

It is a nice place to walk and relax. We saw seals swimming and playing near the beach. Worth visiting it.
