Not terribly pleasant. The 2k stretch along the canal was enjoyable as was syon park, but this doesn't make up for the slogs through busy/residential roads once you hit Southall.

A nice circuit of the Heath with Kenwood handily placed halfway for coffee and also two cafes near the end. Very muddy on some paths (Jan 2020) - a pity as there’s nearly always an alternative hard-surface path that could be taken. Busy with dog-walkers & runners particularly at weekends.

Wonderful view!

Decent trail. Nice and wide for most of the trail and has plentiful information boards. Has lots of entry/exit points and is friendly for people walking, dog walkers, people riding bikes as well as families. Trail gets a little muddy in some areas, so wear suitable foot wear.

I would recommend this trial to any one and it is dog friendly, there are great views and a good mix of surface to walk on. You can't walk near to the large mansion as there is a new homes developments underway. There is a boot wash at the end of the trial next to the toilets.

Lovely walk with very pretty views. Highly recommend waterproof shoes with a lot of grip, gets very sludgy after rainfall!

A little too wet and grey today to get the best out of this walk, still the autumn colours made it pleasant enough.

Me again, this time walked the loop in a clockwise direction and it works just as well. Just to add to what I said before, I have done the walk with my dog and it is dog friendly, though please keep an eye out for signs that ask you to keep your dog on a lead, there are few fields with sheep that the path runs along (outside). Also there are cattle grazing on Farthing Downs and wooded field near the pub, they were not too close on either occasion but I expect they could have been closer as they are free to roam. Overall I would say for about 3/4 of the walk my dog was off lead.

Luckily for me Happy Valley and Farthing Downs are near by so I know the area well. This walk takes in all the variety it has to offer... woodland, fields, great views, narrow paths, wide paths climbs, descents and a watering hole to boot. 5 miles on the recorder but didn’t feel like it. It is a little intricate in places so attention needs to be taken to make sure you remain on course. Muddy in places but amazingly less than expected after all the recent rain. Followed the route as described in an anti-clockwise direction. Toilet facilities at about 2 miles and Pub at 3.5 miles. A great walk that makes it hard to imagine you actually still in London.

Pleasant walk, nice woods. Lesnes Abbey is a real bonus.

First walk in London. Lovely.

A slightly odd route through Hampstead Heath, not especially logical, but it does take you past all the highlights. mostly dirt tracks that would be very muddy after rain. several chances for food and toilets along the way.

the woods are great. the path around the golf course is ok but not as nice

Lovely walk mainly on hard track so not much mud around. Some wonderful wood sculptures near start of trail inspired by The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe. Also plenty of den building etc. to keep kids entertained!

A pleasant enough walk but being a lover of Richmond Park I know it has much more to offer than this walk incorporates. Also probably too many paths near roads for dog walkers.

Did this one the other weekend with my partner and we both really enjoyed the easy walk. The weather was great, she was happy - what else you need? Definitely recommending this walk to anyone at any age.
