Beautiful walk. I had to cut it slightly short as I needed to go into Ventnor town. Very steep hills. You need to have a good level of fitness!

One of my favourite Isle of Wight trails, walked by water, through woodland and fields; and it was buggy friendly!

Enjoyable stroll, walking on mostly stones, we took our newborn in pram and had no troubles. Nice views of a lake, some woodlands and fields nice and diverse. Would recommend

Very different walk through an old town steeped with history, the trails itself where good through an estuary and some fields and woods, great views even though it was raining we didn’t let that dampen our spirits! Oh no we where fully kitted out in the latest mountain warehouse gear and fully waterproof!

An interesting walk amongst an estuary/salt marsh, fields, woodland, enjoyed this walk a lot even though it was rainy!

Beautiful views at the beginning of the trail - the sea, needles and fields, my favourite part of the trail. walked through different terrain - fields, woodland, road etc wasn’t too bad with the buggy, picked some blackberries along the way!

First half more enjoyable than the second half, some nice views of the needles and then through a forest, second half just long roadways with tall bushes either side, took us longer because we where foraging for blackberries and mushrooms, we was going to stop off at mottistone gardens but arrived too late.

My first hike over 10 miles, so probably wasn’t in the best shape for it, my pace slowed down after the 17th mile and mile 20-26 was very tough as I had a blister and my muscles in my legs where feeling it, a diverse walk on road, through fields, woodland, and clifeside, I think hardest part was the needles at the end, on their own they wouldn’t be so difficult but after 20 odd miles is like the icing on the cake. Would recommend walking sticks, good pair of hiking boots. Spare pair of socks, lots of water and snacks. Throughly enjoyed and was definitely a test.

Another of the stroller friendly trails around freshwater that isn’t so friendly walking on roads. That and not very interesting.

Not the best trail it says stroller friendly which it isn’t we took our stroller and we’re used it it but a casual mum on her own would have to push it uphill at the end of trail and through a passageway that was uneven. On positive note the walk along the seafront was nice, also some parts had to to walk on roadway where cars were going past not ideal.

5 star views of the sea, the trail was good had a old church at the top of the hill some history behind and the views are stunning from the top especially when the sun was just setting, there where cows roaming in the field so if taking a dog be careful, it’s basically an out and back walk with a loop around the church. There’s a monument at the end of the walk so again a nice bit of history. Is definitely hilly but not difficult.

brilliant little stomp

Can't seem to get this app to function properly. Features look really good but on selecting a 12 km walk and touching start it will then only show the first section of the walk, no good at all.

First half is definitely more fun but plenty of views and quite gentle despite the elevation

nice easy walk with good views

Great walk for children. We did this walk. It did take just under 4 hours but we did have a 5year old and 7 year old. 3 or 4 stops to eat and a few more stops to grab some Geo Caches. But a really enjoyable walk with the kids!
