Lovely walk on this frosty day. Easy to miss a turn as lots of paths crossing at times. But that is just my navigation. Some steep climbs, benches to rest lots of bikes, walkers near Queen Elizabeth stretch. We & the dogs thoroughly enjoyed it. One very quiet Goldie this afternoon.

Great walk, a steady 2 hours. muddy in places but not surprising. a great mix of forest and countryside. lovely churches, especially the one in the middle of the forest. steady slopes, not too hilly, and very peaceful, only passed a couple of people.

Nice easy walk around pathways. Just enough to feel you've been for a nice walk in the woods.

beautiful walk through fields and woodland. My puppy loved to be off lead for the majority of it. And not tooooo muddy, even with all the reason we've had.

This was a great walk with our puppy - we were initially scouting this as a running route but probably wouldn’t be ideal until the summer as it was very muddy and boggy. You need to use the map as we lost the trail a few times but managed to get back on track fairly easily. Would do it again but take snacks next time.

But muddy and flooded at places along the river.. This made it more fun as we had to navigate our way across. Highlights were the llamas, the swans, the chalk hill, the graveyard and the field. It was 5km but felt like 8km due to the mud. Which was perfect for us. Hit up the Otter pub afterwards, nice deco, friendly staff, good beer!

Lovely walk. Not to tricky. I took my dogs, do be careful as my pooch has come home with really ichy feet, even after a wash.

Very muddy in parts but very enjoyable walk. Make sure shoes/ boots are waterproof

Very popular area for walking so if you prefer quieter walks this is not for you. Walked through some forest areas but a great deal was gravelled walkways. Route directions are bot the best, you could easily get lost, do make sure your GPS can get a signal.

Great walk, we recorded the distance as 4.5miles. Beautiful river walk which also goes through woods and open field too. Suitable for well controlled dogs (farm animals through fence at side of walkway). Minimal road walking, only a few minutes worth. Quiet, didn't meet many other people. Picnic spot at memorial Gardens.

Nice walk with some lovely scenic views. Route directions a bit wishy washy at times eg Waypoint 1 - after 800 metres turn right, the first 200 yards the tree line is on your left then as detailed. Waypoint 3 - you will come to a 3 way junction go straight on, we went right and walked parallel to the mapped route. Very muddy, in fact a quagmire during the middle 3rd of Waypoint 1 although this is to be expected as it is mid winter and has rained overnight. Walk is Mainly through woods, fields and tracks with some tarmac roads in places.

lovely walk, my 8 year olds and puppy loved all the mud!! slight detour in place to protect the ash woodland, but very easy to find

Very nice walk, nice views and a nice challenge on some hills

Loved it. Excellent well directed and described route. Nice undulating ground and scenery. Some areas were very boggy mainly due to the recent weather and time of year but also made it more fun. Would do again

Shave Wood is Forestry Commission so you can wander around to your heart's content. However, there's a lot of motorway noise so it's not exactly peaceful. The Minstead part of the walk looks like it is all on road so I didn't bother with that bit.
