Beautiful place, but totally muddy from a few weeks of heavy rain. Also couldn't do any of the steep inclines so had to cut it short. But generally lovely.

Dog friendly. Off the lead for most of the time. LOVELY views. Second time that I’ve done it. Sunny or muddy, it’s great fun!!

A pretty decent walk. Starts on pavement but this soon runs out and heads down a country lane. We went in January so a little. Muddy in places, but expected for the time of the year. Nice to stop off at the Bull Inn half way around (we did it in reverse) and free parking at ticehurst'S main car park... Which is a decent start/finish point. We took the dog too... Who loved it!

This is a good trail for walking the dog, it's quite muddy but has nice variation of terrain i.e fields, country lanes, forest and pathways next to Bewl Water. You can also stop off at the pub (The Bull) dogs are welcome, nice atmosphere and cosy fire. The walk took us in total 2hours 30mins with pub stop. The start point is the car park at Ticehurst which is free, the route takes you on a loop.

Good walk on the first sunny day in January after weeks of rain. Easy to get the train to Southease. Lots of up and down but easy to follow and nice pubs in Lewes at the end

Windy and dramatic. The landscape looked amazing especially as full tide and low angle light.

Nice easy trail to do. Quite muddy in parts but to be expected being winter and in the marsh/ next to a water reserve. Went on an exceptionally windy and rainy day, which strangely seemed to add to the medieval charm of Camber Castle. Took about 1.45-2hrs going at a very leisurely pace due to the mud. Rye itself has lots of cute pubs with fireplaces to warm up at (dry off!) afterwards, and most serving delicious local ales and pub fare. A good day trip out from London!

Sun, rain, wind I really like this walk. Check the weather before going and you will enjoy it!

Excellent, varied trail. Lots of history, great views, open countryside and water en route. Well signed and easy to follow.

Lovely walk and it takes you past Paul McCartney’s windmill recording studio. Stiles are repaired.

Nice and easy hike. suitable for the dog as long as you know when the roads are to keep them on the lead or under control. bit boggy but expected this time of year. lovely hike with some views over the hills.

Sadly this trail is now unusable. The rail crossing as marked is closed and there is no safe alternative route to rejoin the trail until you reach Beddingham. We continued along the river and across the railway at Southease. Sadly having walked along the verge of the A26 we learned we could not rejoin the trail by the railway as the area is now a composting plant and closed to the public. We had to continue along the A26 verge (dangerous and ill advised) until we reached the pavement at Beddingham. In Beddingham the trail also went cold, driving us back onto the A27 until we rejoined the trail heading up Station Road into Glynde. With time and daylight against us we cut straight across from Mount Caburn to Lewes Golf Club and back down to the car. Muddy, as expected for this time of year, the trails we found were in great condition. Some of the styles need attention. Kissing gates were all in great condition and the pavements, where we found them were in good condition also. Shame about the rail crossing/trail closure. It wasn't so enjoyable as we spent 2-3 miles on the verge of the A26 and probably 40% of our time on a roadway.

Beautiful and varied walk through secluded woodland, fields and country lanes. You get a real feel for the wildness if this part of Sussex.

Excellent walk but a bit muddy in winter!

The South Downs are incredible — gorgeous walks for miles that aren’t too challenging but provide lots of pretty views such as the seven sisters and the sea houses right there.
