Just attempted this route with my wife, 2 kids and 2 dogs. had to abandon half way around due to route been flooded and routes so muddy. one saving grace is that it had been icey, but many parts defrosted. would not attempt in winter. some of the route will have changed due to houses been built.

this trail is mainly fiat with exposed paths that offer little shelter if there are strong winds. fairly featureless landscape near the start but does improve over you climb up in the second part of the hike. there is some walking on a main road for a little while but nothing too bad. this hike would be ok for dog walking but keep on a lead on some sections especially as there is a farm with free range chickens. overall a pleasant walk with only one section with a steep climb. it was boggy and muddy in some places so gaiters were chosen but obviously depends on the time of the year and previous rainfall.

Lovely dog walk. Still managed to get a bit lost on an easy route so glad to have alltrails

lovely walk and beautiful scenery..really enjoyable walk not too hilly and plenty to see..

A good walk lots of fields to cross although we had to detour around some sections because they were really muddy. GPS comes in handy as paths can be hard to follow. It's a walk I would do again in late spring/summer.

A great walk, woodland sections and open fields well worth taking a couple of detours along the way Tom Potts Row and a small wooded path way Bow Walk towards the end of the walk

Tried to drive to starting point, but was met with an unauthorised vehicles cannot pass this point about 1/2 mile back and nowhere obvious to park.

Is this trail a joke? We started out at the pond in the centre of Swanland and went clockwise. The first 1.5 mile, cars drive past at 40 mph. Then a larger road for 0.5 mile and cars pass at over 50 mph. When finally you leave the motor traffic behind, you get to a path all local dogs seem to have used as a toilet. The remainder of the trail was probably wonderful, but we gave up at that point and returned. This trail is too challenging for us.

Great run but had to walk though a field of cows, they were excited and started to run towards me, very scary. Lovely views and will do again.

A lovely walk through fields and along the coastal path. We were lucky enough to see about 20 seals basking on the foreshore

Stunning views, really pleasant walk, seeing the seal colony was definitely a highlight too

Very easy and lots of wildlife to be seen along the way.

Lovely walk along this stretch of the east coast with a gorgeous wooded nature area too

simple to follow route for beginners like us

Walked anti-clockwise and found the path off Southfield Road so full of crops that it could not be followed. Had to divert to leave the village on Thorndale Lane. Otherwise a very pleasant walk.

Was such a lovely walk. Only slightly difficult on the sand. There’s toilets at the actual head and few deserted houses! Was quite spooky in the greyness of the rainy weather!

Managed to navigate this trail with a pram and a 4 year old. Tricky through the field but otherwise relatively flat paths. Lovely scenery and the forest was great to explore. The dog loved it too!

To avoid walking on the main road don't turn left at Melton Bottom, cross over the road and continue the trail through the woods. This will bring you out at Woodgates Lane where you can rejoin the main road (Mill Road) into Swanland where it's less busy.

Great place !

Problem with way markers south of Burton Agnes and no clear defined route through fields. Pubs on route were welcoming and dog friendly.

lovely leisurely walk which took about 95mins at our slow pace. perfect walk for dogs. i imagine it would be quite muddy in parts after rain. can be easiliy extended by venturing towards the humber. not so many long distance views but was really nice to be in the wooded areas. will definitely be doing it again. didnt have to go through any livestock fields at all.
