trail good to point where there was no trail left after the fields had been plowed

Trickier than I expected due to lots of up and down step sections and a grumbly knee. We had to take a detour on the beach to get around the water inlet and ended up coming back along the coastal path which was easier going.

What a lovely walk this is!! Bit confused that they say it’s a loop because the far end of it isn’t you just walk back on yourself. But still I would do this walk again as there are so many little paths that lead off of it to explore next time. Stunning views even on a rainy day. Walked with 3 dogs all off lead the whole time. We walked on the beach for the first part (not the actual route) and had to literally climb up to the path. If you don’t mind heights I would recommend doing this.

such a pleasant walk could be used as many other exercise activities aswell some very good scenary and lots of history to it ..

Took 1hr to complete at a brisk walking pace. Offers some areas of shade and once down by the Tees River some nice scenery. I would say 50% of the trail is walking alongside busy roads so if you’re taking a dog along you’ll need a leash.

brilliant for me just the right distance

A nice, undulating walk through mixed woodland with a picturesque and quiet beach at the far end.

We go down here regularly with our children and dog lovely short walk and children love the birdwatching huts and you also have tracks down to the river

Really enjoyed this trail we went off trail at one point to explore, there is some beautiful scenery to look at. There was a bug problem towards the end so i would advice bug repellent but there is a massive Rabbit Warren up there and lots off rabbits to spot. All in all it was great fun.

This is such a lovely walk. I walked with 3 dogs and they were off lead the whole time. The river is always nearby so they get to have a dip and cool down when it’s hot. The second part of the trail is really overgrown and I almost turned back but it was totally worth all the stinging nettles. The rest of the walk is pure bliss. Most of it is flattish apart from a few little climbs but nothing too tiring. You go through fields, the woods, over little bridges and walk along the river.

It’s a nice walk. I walked with 4 dogs, some of the walk you have to put the lead on as there’s a road and some farms to pass by. The first bit is over grown but the rest is relatively easy to walk. At a steady pace it took just under 2 hours. Some lovely views of wheat fields.

amazing views and Forrest trails, however very muddy, and there are very steep steps down to Hawthorne hive beach
