It was good but very muddy with deep puddles in parts. Was lovely to walk round the gardens. Would definitely do again in the summer.

A good route that kicks off with a steep climb to the top of Shining Tor. Wrap up warm if it’s windy!

walked with a 7 and 8 year old, started gently downhill towards reservoirs then up through Macc Forest. we took a slightly different route here and dropped down to a single track road - was very steep and quite challenging for the children and us at times but the views made up for that. All in all a lovely 7 mile hike.

Fabulous walk, highly recommended...great views all the way and fantastic sense of achievement looking back at shutlingsloe from teggs nose at the end of the walk!

Trail well marked and easy to follow. I would say doing it clockwise would be the more strenuous route, purely due to the steep steps on the climb back to the summit. Cafe a welcome treat at the end.

great trail! awesome vistas!!!

Great budworth was so nice to walk through, highlight of the walk. Fields were VERY muddy, definitely wear boots

Great trail for a moderate walk. Path takes you down to the reservoirs, past farms with sheep and cattle, through pine tree woods mysterious and dark, as well as broad-leafed tree forests full of shrubbery and rugged old trees. Undulating terrain and very visually stimulating surroundins. Lovely walk around the reservoirs, pubs to be found near the roadside for refreshments. Parking at Tegg's Nose Country Park car park costs £3 for the day, cards accepted.

Great walk. Easy to follow the mapped route or have your own diversion. Really nice to see the far side of the park and got to see several different deer herds. Good for dogs but would have to be on lead near loose sheep and deer. Some areas of no shade but able to walk to different clumps of trees for shade. Great views!

This trail was really good. The scenery and views are amazing and I managed to catch them on a really nice sunny day. I downloaded this route and stuck to it apart from at the end where I added an extra 3 miles. Took my dog with me, the majority of it is dog friendly, I had to lift her over 3 styles but apart from that there are gates that give access to where you need to be. This was my first time in this area but my dog and me will definitely be back.

It was very busy, quite a lot of bogs. Nice walk but a lot of uphill walking.

great hike with variety terrain.

lovely walk, nice views,

This is a great dog friendly walk, although you do walk through sheep fields where they have to be on lead and several roads that you need to walk on. There are no real hard scrambles and you get amazing views throughout the entire walk. Went in summer so everything was dry. I didn’t have any issues with mud or bog. There are also a couple of cafes alongside it so opportunities to stop and grab some food and drinks. Would definitely recommend and I will be coming back!

original trail a bit easy but go off track and it's very rewarding. dont skip the hill at the end very rewarding views at the top.

very easy beginners trail. 2 hours well spent if you're out with the family or dog.

Lovely, really nice steady ride. 8 year old who never been biking like this managed it OK.

great app. perfect in all aspects.
