Long part of walk is next to an industrial sight, not great views.

Good 2 hour walk, quite flat, nice woodland. Wander through Marbury Country Park and Budworth Mere for a bit extra and wildlife

Nice fairly easy trail, really nice to see the marina and all the lovely canal boats

Good path for views, will have to get kids to bed on time as they have to have a spare night

walked with a 7 and 8 year old, started gently downhill towards reservoirs then up through Macc Forest. we took a slightly different route here and dropped down to a single track road - was very steep and quite challenging for the children and us at times but the views made up for that. All in all a lovely 7 mile hike.

bridge locked 1km into the walk....waste of time

The route was easy to follow with a lot of posted with yellow arrows. I walked clockwise. Just after the metal steps that takes you around a horseshoe bend, there is a turn to the right that is not clear on the map. The path appears to go straight on but there are some steep sandstone steps that is signposted. Keep the golf course on your left at this point. Also, just before you reach Manley Road for the first time, there is an overgrown steeper path to the left and a clearer path to the right. You’re meant to take the steeper path. I took the clearer path by mistake but it brings you out at the same point. Being winter, I didn’t find the route overgrown at all. I assume it’s either going to be an overgrown summer route or a muddy winter route. I prefer the mud!

Would not recommend this! Start of walk is a no access private property. And the woodland is completely overgrown, if you decide you still want to do it take a Bush knife with you

Fabulous walk, highly recommended...great views all the way and fantastic sense of achievement looking back at shutlingsloe from teggs nose at the end of the walk!

Trail well marked and easy to follow. I would say doing it clockwise would be the more strenuous route, purely due to the steep steps on the climb back to the summit. Cafe a welcome treat at the end.

Nice walk with mixture of roads, woods, steps, bridges. it was incredibly muddy and waterlogged when we visited, so take wellies or waterproof boots.

Always enjoy this walk, particularly muddy between the wood and airport at the moment though

Great budworth was so nice to walk through, highlight of the walk. Fields were VERY muddy, definitely wear boots

Decent walk, can be made longer by walking up to the jubilee bridge and loop back. Roughly 1 hour 45 mins.

I recommend taking a slight detour up Fox Hill.

Great trail for a moderate walk. Path takes you down to the reservoirs, past farms with sheep and cattle, through pine tree woods mysterious and dark, as well as broad-leafed tree forests full of shrubbery and rugged old trees. Undulating terrain and very visually stimulating surroundins. Lovely walk around the reservoirs, pubs to be found near the roadside for refreshments. Parking at Tegg's Nose Country Park car park costs £3 for the day, cards accepted.
