why would you want to walk across fields to reach a bridge over the M11, walk alongside this noisy motorway, and then cross back over another footbridge back to Grantchester? the rest of the walk was lovely in the village and around Byron's Pool but the beginning bit was highly uninspiring.

Easy walk with the dogs

Lovely walk mostly by the Camb or Granta rivers. Easy, some shade, easy to follow.

one of our favourite walks. quite exposed in places. multiple routes up to the top. well signposted and there's a map in the car park. local shop near the carpark for an ice cream afterwards.

Cambridge is a charming town full of things to see. It’s so nice that highlights have been written in to the map of the app. Some portions of the walk are a bit dull but in general it will give you a thorough overview of the town and some scenery of the many colleges.

Lovely for a long stroll especially on a nice day. Plenty of stop offs for a dip or picnic. Great to leave you car and walk in a circle back to it and to end at a pub.

Extended this walk by starting in Cambridge. Those who don’t want to do the whole route can easily work out where to take a short cut. Parking at the moment for Grantchester is located outside the village near Mill Pond... so you may want to use that as your start. Don’t miss out on a cream tea in the Orchard Tea Gardens or a visit to Grantchester Church.

It's a shame the walk doesn't advise a walk up the castle mound opposite Shire Hall which gives great views across the city.

A wonderful walk. With some good pubs for lunch too. Can be a very popular on a hot summer's day.
