A Fabulous trail for the drier weather. Not so good after the recent flooding in January 2020. Nevertheless, thoroughly enjoyable. Greet views, lots of local history and variety of terrain. Will be doing it again when not as muddy. Mostly dog friendly

A scenic and relatively quiet walk compared to others in the area. Would definitely recommend.

This route is currently flooded just beyond the wooden bridge at the copse (just after crossing the motorway). No way to get around the water and it is quite deep - spanning about 20-30 metres- definitely not jumpable!! Otherwise, nice trail, some walking on the road but I only saw one car whilst doing this so it’s by no means a busy route.

muddy, went off track and ended up missing jocks lane - good alternative 6k

Was a good walk and route through the woods and fields. Nice pub at end for a drink. Road noise all the time though from the nearby M4 and when we did it in January the trail was very very wet and muddy. Passable but very muddy and slippery.

Jan 2020 - nice flat walk! A bit muddy and in one part we waded thru ankle deep water but not surprising given the time of year. Wellies were important. I’m sure during the spring it is really beautiful with the flowers. Parking was easy and we stopped for a coffee at the garden centre (2/3 way thru?) and a pint at the pub right at the end. DOG went with us - lots of off-lead with a few road crossings and one field with animals.

Great trail - really enjoyed it. It was very flooded in parts due to recent weather so we had to wade through deep water in parts of it but part of the adventure. Nice parts along the canal and then ending in fields and farmland.

I personally found this walk fairly underwhelming, though there firm surfaces were a pleasant respite to sliding around in all the recent mud. Even the woods weren’t too bad. My dog had to be on lead for the majority given a lot of it is along country roads with no pavement and there are requests to keep dogs on leads on the stubbings estate and on the cycle way near the start. Probably not one I’ll repeat in a hurry

Lovely walk even if muddy. Beautiful countryside and great for dogs

Jan 2020 - This was a good walk on an easy to follow route. Some of the fields at the start were muddy but not surprising at this time of year. Also, some of the route is along roads/lanes but very little traffic. There is a farm around halfway which has a coffee shop and a nice looking pub close to the end. It is a longer walk but fairly flat so worth a try especially in spring/autumn.

Good walk with clear paths and nice picturesque views. Good for a dog, only need them on the leash for a short section through the deer park

Pleasant walk. Well marked. A bit muddy in a few places but generally good underfoot. Some lovely views in places and very quiet.

Only did half this trail but it was a nice walk across fields and public rights of way. New to the area so nice to see lots of green spaces. A bit muddy in places.

Straight forward country trail, fairly level. Quite muddy in places at this time of the year, take your wellies. We were able to let the dog off the lead most of the way round.

I started in Goring and walked to Pangbourne, and I'm really glad I walked in this direction as it's most beautiful in that area. The walk is pretty easy, a couple of short inclines but other than that it's pretty flat. The walk takes in river, field and forest, my favourite type of walk.

It looks like it would be really nice but in the winter it is so muddy. It was flooded on part of the path on the Thames so we didn't make it round but even if we had, 2 miles slipping in the mud is not enjoyable. We'll try again in the summer when we think it could be quite pleasant.

Recommend this walk lovely sign posts history of the area and the wall. Somewhat slippy in December and had to cut across a field as the path at the start was too flooded. Suitable to wellies more than our walking boots at that point.
