Great trail - the first few kilometers are difficult (incline only) but totally doable. THE trail is well maintained and the lake is in a lush, spectacular area. There is a 3-6k peso fee to enter the park. We went in dead of summer, and drank a ton of water. There were two water sources out on the trail. Lots of wildflowers and epic Mountain views.

Great hike! My phone died during my recording. We did 21k and are not experienced hikers whatsoever. We needed many breaks on the way up. The views of the mountains were nothing short of amazing. Anticlimactic hike as the lagoon was a murky brown colour that day.

Great walk with great views. You can drive up to the gate of the company (a little further than the trail's starting point). parking is free there. I wasnt allowed to enter but maybe if you barter then yes. That would be a good thing, because the first part of the trail is a road and a view on the industrial site. From the gate, 23km roundtrip.

First part is a road for camping if you don't stay there. the end point is great though. Alternative is to do the walk of El Toyo (or El Puma), lots of winding paths with in the weekends campers everywhere. you stay closer to the river there, which is nice, but you'll have to 're-find'the trail a lot of times

Great half-day hike close to Santiago, the waterfall is impressive and refreshing and the dry desert canyons are captivating. The gates to the park don't open until 8AM, unfortunately, and it gets very hot during the day in the summer, bring lots of water!

Basically just a scramble up a really steep ravine. This was a lot of fun but you have to be down by 7 to catch the bus so we were unable to get up to the ridge.

Very steep hike but short enough that it’s very manageable and super worth the view. The smog is thick and quite a harsh view at times but the surrounding mountains balance it out with their majestic feel. Definitely need good shoes and the hike up is mostly rocky and the way down is so steep on the sandy rocks that you need proper grip. The hike was not as long as expected. 1hr20 moms up including a handful of breaks to tie shoes and take pictures. My watch said “48mins” of active moving time on the way up. Couldn’t hike down as fast as expected even though it’s not strenuous at all...just requires a lot of focus and concentration of where to step. Great hike in the city, highly recommend. Went via public transport and was able to hitch hike the last few km through the residential area, as there were many people going to hike Manquehue or Manquehuito with the cars. Very friendly :)

YOSEMEBUIN topos 5 de escalada.

Located in Parque Natural Aguas de Ramón: a nice short loop trail with fantastic views of Santiago. This parque actually offers 3 loop options (see photo: we took the medium-sized blue path). We walked in the direction of South Face, looping back along the North Face trail. First kilometer has much of the elevation gain and levels off for the rest of the hike. Coming back down the North Face trail seemed a more gradual grade change. Saturday afternoon in September; already a lot of sun and very little shade along most of the route. Bring lots of water and hat! I’d rate as moderate.

Although a short hike, the last 1 km to the top is more a scrambling up a mix of small, loose rock, gravel, and some larger rock. It obviously hadn't rained in quite a while, so it was quite dusty. As others have indicated the views of both the Andes and Santiago below are wonderful. Was treated to a number of Condors buzzing by. I say buzzing, as I heard one before I saw it and thought for a moment that it was drone. Scree on downhill posed challenges, but I didn't have the best shoes to deal with that. A variety of other small and large birds, too, including an eagle.

Nice trail past the typical San Ramon route. The waterfall at the end is quite nice. It’s out and back. Can be very dry in the summer months.

Nice trail for the beginner hiker. It is a trail that ends at a nice overview of the valley you just climbed out of. The good thing is that you register yourself at the administration, you let them know what trail you are taking so in case of an emergency they know where to look. When you are finished you register this again and you are safe and sound :)

Short, steep, and sweet

Incredible views of both Santiago and (once you're above the smog line) the cordillera. We went in winter and the wan sun + cold temps were perfect; in summer it'd be hot, very little shade.
