Your feet are probably going to get wet and you need cleats if you want to run it this time of year. Nice loop. Well marked.

It was a nice hike, some of the trail markers didn't line up with the app but they weren't hard to find.

great trail. really research the best time to go we had lots of blackflies. would go back in early fall instead or late summer. best trip I've ever done. completed in 5 days 100km not 78km like the website shows. amazing views and a good challenge. proud to have completed. the provincial park is very well priced for parking as well as the campsites on the trail. best part was having free shower access after we were done.

Maybe an inch of snow on the ground. Some icy bits, but the sun melted everything just enough that it wasn’t slippery at all. A beautiful hike!

Good walking wouldn’t rate as hard more medium though. Super flat straight out trail

A really engaging and peaceful trail. Some sections are steep and good for a workout, and some are relaxing to be on (like walking on the side of an open field before getting back into the forest). I did this trail today (Dec. 27), and there was snow and ice but that made it all the more fun.

Beautiful area. Walking Escarpment Road in summer would have been boring and hard on the feet. Glad I was out in Winter.

also this all trails site for the elgin hiking trail is missing many new reroutes and still showing the old ones

Not a hiking trail at all 50%, road 25% highway, 25% trail so dug up by four wheelers, green house (outhouse) all shot up and smashed. Would be best to close trail for bit and let nature come back

Another incomplete recording. Went back for yet another night of camping. Took me a little while longer due to having to carry in wood for a fire. I will eventually get back to complete the whole trail. There are a few slippery/icey areas, bring some ice cleats if you're doing this during the winter months,

One of my favorite hikes thus far. There are so many things to see on the way up.

Did the 19km loop counter clockwise and camped 1 night at Provoking west. Beautiful campsite and amazing views. Going back this weekend not sure exactly what to expect but hopefully snow.
