A short trail on a slope down to the river. It has been groomed by ATV's. Destination to Rapids of the Drowned is quite spectacular. We were here in October so the pelicans were gone.

An alright trail. Dirty areas with garbage and broken glass near the Staples. Some scenic parts. A lot of it is paved.

I use this trail almost daily to get some fresh air with my baby and dog. Most access points are no problem with the stroller and the scenery is lovely.

It’s a nice, short, walk up the rock that leads to the monument and a great panoramic view of the city.

Fun trail ! Beautiful paved portion by Somba K'e park which turns into off trail rocky area with bridges that come out of nowhere and markers that are fun to find next. Informative wildlife signs throughout and picturesque benches. Great views of Legislative Assembly. Very good trail !

Nice trail but I find that some of the trail markers could be a bit hard to spot sometimes. Some parts are muddy. Great views of the frame lake trail and the accesibility from downtown makes it a great trail though.

A small climb up to a nice scenic view. Takes less then 3 minutes to get to the top, the view is pretty good.

definitely not a hiking trail, it's a lookoff in old Town, but definitely still worth the climb! there's a little parking lot, and then a wooden staircase up to the monument/lookoff. A must see for anyone new to Yellowknife!

great trail, but I would rate it as moderate for sure. it's about 6.5km, and only a paved trail for about 1/4 of it. once you're behind the hospital it's all rock, and the trail markers can be hard to spot sometimes (they also look like cigarettes haha white concrete posts with a darker orange tip). a great trail tho, would definitely do it again!

There’s an unmarked rocky area beside the road you can pull off into. There is a quad trail that leads to a “stage” with a nice view of part of the lake. There is no actual trail where the app says to go unless you want to bushwhack.

found the trailhead, but the double track takes you to where a house was started to be built (a bit ago it looks). Found an overgrown looking trail to the bluff shores and a few pieces of flagging but gave up, enjoyed the view and returned. You could follow the shore around if you felt like.

Lots of rocks and good views. Bring bug spray in the summer months.

Nice longer trail in town. can still hear traffic but still let's you feel the outdoors. some rocky surfaces to be careful on if you aren't used to that sort of terrain. Still a couple of mud puddles along the way. Also worth noting all signage there says 7km.

Great little loop for a walk, you can even take an offshoot to relax on one of the benches and watch the ducks.

Great afternoon walk muddy and water in some of the low spots from all the rain

Very short, just up a few flights of wooden stairs. But the view is worth going for, especially if it’s your first time in Yellowknife.
