only gave 4 stars because the majority of the hike is fairly uninteresting. However, the end is amazing. When you arrive at the falls, there is a very steep descent to get down. The falls themselves are beautiful and the area is extremely green and peaceful. We brought our bathing suits and did a polar dip of sorts, water was freezing! Great experience though!

Great trail we did in Dec. Very well maintained. Quite flat with good footing. There is an extension that goes down to East Branch River that is very nice. Overall, this trail is well worth your time.

walked through on the 15th of December, was very wet after heavy rains the day before, including some water across the trail, had several trees down across the path so had to navigate around. over all it is a great destination. note: road to get in to the trail head is rough, so be cautious with a car as there can be (was for us) some large washout and puddles. We have a truck so it was no issue for us.

Easy hike to the falls, took us 40 mins with lots of stop to take photos and take in the scenery.

This is a good trail. My boyfriend and I came here after it’s been raining for two days so it was VERY muddy. Make sure you wear sensible hiking boots. Go through the overlook. . . sheds a couple of minutes off but it’s worth it. Tons of photo opportunities here. Tons of places to relax too - find the red chairs!

Great trail in excellent condition. Met several folks camping and a dozen people on bikes. Beach is beautiful. Takes just over 2 hours each way if you keep a steady pace.

This is an awesome trail for more serious mountain bikers, I absolutely loved it. Lots of hill climbing, but fun descents. Trail is well maintained but it's bumpy so a bike with good suspension really helps. I would not recommend this trail for young kids or non experienced mountain bikers as the trail is narrow is some areas with steep cliffs on the side. You can watch my GoPro video of the trail here which gives you a really good idea on what to expect: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zomsFZ9u7fA

This is a very good hike. We arrived at 1130 and finished the walk at 1400-1500. The path is very muddy so wear your hiking boots - pretty slippery around the water path too (I slipped) so make sure your shoes have a good grip, okay? Make sure you follow the path all the way to the falls - you can get lost pretty easily — so follow the signs and the orange tree tags. Other than that, I had so much fun. It’s a very scenic route. I took tons of photos.

moderate rating is accurate overall. there are a few tough spots that I would rate as more difficult. the descent down to the river is quite steep and I would not attempt if you are cycling. However if you are on foot, the view at the bottom is a nice reward for your efforts. It had rained a bit the day previous to my walk along this trail so the little stream at the bottom was not terribly little, but still manageable. I would say if you intend to cross it, be certain the water levels are not too high. Either that or be ready to get your socks wet, or even your thigh highs as you may find yourself pocket deep in water, foam, and rocks. Overall was a good visit. Though I am from Ontario I could see myself hiking that trail again on my next stop through NB.

Went during off season, nice and easy hike. Views were pleasant.

Trail starts out easy then gets a lot more strenuous for the second half. Lots of elevation changes and Brook crossings. Would do it again.

There is a shuttle you need to pre book online through the parks website for two dollars each that drives you (at 9am) from the park entrance to the interpretation Centre. This way you do not have to do this trail out and back. The shuttle also can continue on to Long Beach where you can take the Fundy footpath to the interpretation Centre if you want to make the hike a little longer. Make a point of going all the way down to Melvin’s beach. it’s beautiful. On the way back up there is an unmarked gravel trail that follows the coast for a little bit before it connects you back to the multi use trail. Highly recommend this trail.

Best hike I've done... be prepared to cross rivers/waterfalls. Check tidal charts as well! Beautiful views...

The falls are beautiful and worth the effort. Much of the trail is straightforward and rocky, with a sometimes tricky descent and ascent at the end. The rest is a decent walk through the woods.

Beautiful, especially in the fall. This was designed to be one of the park's main attractions, and it works. A well-done, informative short walk that will appeal to most visitors.

This was my favorite hike in my visit to Fundy NP. It delivered some fine scenery and was particularly fun once the Moosehorn Trail reached the river. Laverty Falls is worth the hike, too. It was a bit wet and muddy in spots, and this is more of a moderate hike than easy due in large part to the obstacles Moosehorn throws at you. If I could do this again I'd hike Moosehorn to Laverty Falls then go back the way I came. It would be more challenging but also more interesting and fun than just doing the long uphill of the Laverty Falls Trail. It's worth doing either way.

Billions of red squirrels everywhere. Bathroom at the beginning. Took us about 2 hr 15 minutes. We were the first car there at 845 on a Tuesday.

Took us about 1.5 hours. I’d highly recommend taking the Matthew’s head overlook detour (only adds a few minutes, best view). Wonderful pine smells, lots of red squirrels. Not too populated @ 12 PM on a Tuesday

Favorite falls hike in the area!

Walk the forest floor on paths and over roots. Climb down to the waterfalls on stairs, path and over rocks to a beautiful piece of nature.

This is an easy trail. Goes downhill for 2 miles and then up on your way back. It's pretty much a zigzag across an old road the whole way. Still nice and peaceful but we wouldn't do it again. (hiking)
