Short and sweet, did it with the kids (10 and 12) minimal elevation. We went in winter was fun for them to play in the snow at the lake. Pretty views

Easy walk, family friendly. Beautiful views of the cliffs and the raging river.

Pretty trail, mostly forested, some nice views. Make sure the gates are open for tunnels if you don’t want to back track and would like to compete the loop.

Pretty little hike through the woods . Short and sweet with a beautiful waterfall at the end. Even prettier when the falls are frozen and you can watch the ice climbers. Good for kids, well shaded in summer minimal elevation

Really great hike! The first portion of the hike to the overlook is paved and very crowded. If you hike a little higher up the nature trail/fire road you get awesome views with minimal crowds. Beautiful views of the lake and glacier. We hiked this in July/August 2018.

Alice Lake was worth it. More a moderate hike in the snow than an easy one. I clocked in at 4.7 mi with only two small detours down to look at the lakes. The other lakes were pretty but didn’t make the hike itself special. Definitely fresh signs of bear and wildcat, so be aware.

ALL of this trail is on private property!! Dogs need to be on leash at all times, in the summer months there are cows and calves in the fields, the other fields are being hayed. NO PIC NICS IN THE FIELDS!!There is a picnic table at the very top. No fires allowed.

Easy trail around a gorgeous creek. Still a covering of snow - beautiful and magical atmosphere!

Snow slush and ice. Ice cleats and snow shoes recorded. Trail is in good condition otherwise

slushy , made our own trail.

We tried to do the 10.8km Quarry Loop as suggested in the AllTrails app but the leg of Cinnamon trail that turns into Rubber Monkey on the other side of Mt. Seymour Rd. was marked permanently closed, so we had to modify accordingly.

Good hike with amazing views. I disagree on the “easy” rating. This hike is straight up hill the whole way and if you do the full loop, coming down the backside of mill hill is sketchy. Doable, but sketchy. I’d recommend going down the way you go up making it more of a “there and back” hike, not a loop. Especially if its wet. Beautiful hike but challenging if you are not fit.

It was beautiful! We weren’t sure where to park, but we walked over to the trail head. The bridge was a bit dangerous, I almost fell through twice and I’m a pretty good snow super. The trail ends or just dies out, so we plopped ourselves in the snow, had lunch and turned around.

Went up the trail. Lots of elevation, few markings, difficult to navigate in the snow without footprints to follow. The mountain bike obstacles helped guide the way. The sound of gunshots from the gun club is unnerving!

Well maintained even in winter and well marked. Snow was a few feet deep off the trail but and nice easy hike from the Fernie visitor Center.

Up to 8" of wet snow I places today but melting fast. Fresh beeswax on he Blundstones and we were good to go. A little slippery but we were the only people at Burn's Point. This is a gem of a hike and without snow a good run or walk hike.

Fun snowshoe on Jan. 18th. LOTS of soft fluffy powder today while snowshoeing. Gravel Pit road parking wasn’t accessible / ploughed so I had to park further away and trek another km or two to access the trailhead. Pass gravel pit road and take your next right on Riverside. Google maps lists a pin for ‘winter parking spot’ on Riverside. The trail is marked in areas but the snow nearly buried the markers. There are some nice hikers who have tagged the tree limbs w/ neon strips. My phone froze so I didn’t complete the full route since I didn’t have a physical map. Made it to ghost town and opted for an out and back since there were a couple tracks coming from various directions. I’m not familiar w/ the area so decided to play it safe and not get lost getting of track trying to complete the loop

Muddy, slushy and wet in a few places due to recent (unusual) snowfall, but nothing too treacherous. Lots of interesting signs along the way about flora and fauna. Easy but rewarding. Beautiful views.
