Stunning and rugged scenery with epic rock formations. Grampians never fail to disappoint. However 1-star rating is for the single track section from Harrop Track to near Victoria Range Road which is nearly impassable in parts due to overgrowth. Seems like Parks hasn't been up there in years, perhaps they don't want people using the track??

Would be 5 stars but the trails are so overgrown that it’s borderline dangerous. In parts, the trail and surrounding bush land are indistinguishable. If you do go, leave early take plenty of water, and be prepared for a hard slog. That being said the views from the top are magnificent.

Actually close to 110km all up. did this hike solo over 3.5days at xmas, just booked every 2nd campsite and pushed on. lots of snakes (5) on my 3rd day. the beach exit from milanesia beach to ryans den alt route is extremely overgrown and not safe to attempt because of possible snake bites.

A great walk for getting into multi-day hikes. Campsites were exceptionally well maintained with bush toilets and plenty of rainwater tanks. You will be needing to book in advance though. Did the entire walk in 10 days with 1 day rest at Nelson in a counter clockwise direction and in summer. Saw a huge amount of wildlife and natural vistas. Timing the segments so that lunch can be done at Nelson & Cape Bridgewater is recommended as they serve some excellent food. Word of warning, doing the walk in summer will attract a huge amount of bush flies near the Portland area. Did run into a few snakes along the way and bush fire broke out not far from Cobboboonee camp whilst we were there.

WOW. good walk with varied vistas and environments. good facilities - water was clean and the drop dunnies had plenty of paper. well spaced camps though can/should do the first 4 days in 2. recommended though the weather was poor for the duration of my walk

Amazing hike with incredible views. Weather was perfect, we were lucky! Still some snow around despite it being December. Beautiful part of the country.

Lovely hike with a few challenging hill climbs and varying landscapes. It's also quiet and peaceful.

This was a fun trail, we stayed at Refuge Cove and then Roaring Meg campsites which broke the 3 day hike into relatively even sections. The first day we did apprx 17kms in about 6-7 hours, the second day was a big 22kms which we did in around 8-9 hours, and the last day we made it back to our car at Tidal River by 3pm. Beautiful scenery the whole way around, especially along the coasts!

What a beautiful walk, we did an overnight stay in sharps road camping site. There are some steep stairs to get up and down at the start, sheoak falls car park, track was clear few fallen trees across some sections. Waterfalls had water flowing it really is a beautiful part of Victoria and worth the hike. there were toilets available at the sheoak picnic ground.
