Incredible hike with lots of wildlife. Be sure to take the side trip to summit Mount Ossa, the highest peak in Tasmania!

awesome walk. did the whole 36km loop in 10 hours with a quick lunch and a laydown on Brian's beach. Was scorchin at the top of my Graham (December), bring water!!

Good trail. Cascade track starts off pretty easy, myrtle gully and hunters started to get difficult in some spots, track would be hard in winter, a lot of rocks in some places. After Hunters, go onto Organ Pipes. Very easy - catch you breath for the next part. Zig zag track (pinnacle) very steep and rocky. Limited shade as well. In all, took about 4 and a half hours.

Great day hike, with amazing view all over the national park. It took us around 6 hours of walk to complete, with 1 hours lunch and a few stops to take great pictures - if you want to go easy, allocate 8 hours. Definitely start early to avoid the sun on the last part as there is not much shade and it is going up.

Walked the Overland track twice (first time with a 8 and 6 y/o as well, second time with 4 kids) and also walked into Pine Valley from Lake StClair site, in winter. All walks enormously enjoyable. The winter one was stunning, we managed to have to hit to ourselves and were super cosy. Pity the secret has been out so long and it is busy for a big part of the year.

Awesome walk, but very tough. The hike from Lake Vera up to Barron Pass is steep and involves some minor scrambling. It is then a rocky 3km to Lake Tahune, involving careful steps with the heavy pack. Slow going. Great new hut though, solar powered and with heating. The final climb to the summit has a tricky climbing section, up a rock chimney and then an exposed ledge. Doable, but hard. Amazing views from Barron Pass onwards though. Be careful of snakes in the Loddon planes as well, plenty about.

yestie i was there 25 oct 2019 but the track was closed.better to confirm before you go because its to far.

We went in August so there was plenty of water in the hut at Cooks beach, but other than that there are no creeks etc to fill up bottles in. It was a great time of year to go with not many people around and still some lovely days. Just very cool at night with no camp fires allowed.

Amazing trail ... loved Mt Graham, steep in parts, little bit of scrambling ... completed the full 36.7km in 8hrs, that was pushing it ... if you want to really take it all in, would recommend camping the night at Cook’s Beach where there’s a camping area and rain water tanks to top up your packs!

Weather was at its finest! In 5 days we saw sun, shade, snow, hail, pelting rain and showers. We had plenty of fallen trees to scramble over and mud to traverse! Lots of mud!! A little bit of everything. It made an extraordinary trail all the more challenging. Huts were clean but almost all had no heat. Toilets were compost. A few bodies made it tolerable. We made nice friends along the way and compared notes. With a bit of training and proper gear it is a wonderful experience never to be forgotten.
