I did this walk the wrong way around, but I'm pretty happy I did. Whilst this is an easy walk, some amount of fitness is required for some of the inclines - it is also worth noting that some of the trail is loose gravel with large loose rocks so people with weak knees, ankles and hips, make sure you take your time and tread carefully. A nice walk with some good views of the Woden Valley and Majura, perfect for people that enjoy wildlife spotting; we came across 2 shingleback lizards, some Eastern Grey roos, Rosellas, Magpies, Wattlebirds and at the right time of day I suspect you could easily do some possum spotting. Dog friendly leashed walk with plenty of sniffing opportunities - caution should be used if you have a dog with high prey drive. We saw a few people on the walk and a few dogs but it wasn't an overly busy walk - overall a nice walk but be prepared if you're a novice bushwalker or have a low level of fitness (like me) to meet some inclines.

great trail. went off the track a bit for a run down and it was epic. easy hike up for fit walkers.

A really good suburban heart starter. Does not ease up the whole way.

Cool and windy day, so it was a bit easier. Not a lot of shade so it could be tougher on hotter, less windy days. View from the top is fantastic! 2 hrs 15 min round trip at a relatively brisk pace, including a 20 min soaking in of the panorama. Came back down via the fire trail, which was pretty quick, but steep with slippery gravel. Less animals than other trails but still the occasional group of roos on the first third of the climb. Most prevalent animals were the flies that would just not leave me alone.

Nice trail but more of an easy trail than a moderate one. A lot of rise for the distance covered but it is a paved trail and lots of families do it

I would recommend this hike for experienced hikers as there isn’t really a defined trail. Well worth it to go in the morning as the sun will get hot later in the day.

I took my three year old on this walk and he handled it well. It is narrow in sections but easily navigated. Not a bad walk so close to queanbeyan.

Defently easy in some areas. It rangers from hard in spots mostly moderate and a few easy areas. Starts with a bit of a climb, stairs in a few spots and narrow in areas. Nice green opening at the end.

good for walk and run

I followed the Lake Burley Griffin path. Ran some walked some. Ran out of time so didn’t finish the full loop. Amazing though considering the location. A pleasant surprise.

Great views, be prepared to navigate the path using the app, not following the trails.

nice little walk along the gorge and river. Hidden gem close to Canberra

The car is locked in botanic garden because the garden is close after 5 pm and we have to ask friend to pick us.

Annoying the loop as the app seemed to glitch and not let me follow the trails too much. Annoying. All in all the trails are quiet when we went mid week. However, if you were to do the walk on the weekends, you’d be dodging the mountain bikers

high level of incline and multiple terrains, great for legs and glutes. dog friendly and very popular. GREAT VEIWS, lots of lookout points and chairs to stop n rest

I found this walk incredibly easy but the view was amazing

A great view of Canberra; War Memorial, Old and New Parliament houses. Trail starts at the War Memorial. Winding track with information markers along the way. (there's a car park at the top, if you're feeling lazy)

Spotted a few kangaroos and a local made fun of me for stopping to take pictures since “they are everywhere, mate.” Great views from the top as well.

beautiful trail

The south side of the trail (Sulwood Drive side) is currently undergoing some upgrades due to the number of people using it for hiking, trail running and dog walking. All trails to the summit (3 marked) require a degree of fitness due to the steepness for parts of the track. Good views of Canberra from the top and usually numerous kangaroos can be seen along the trail. A great short return trip to the summit, or a longer full circuit. A very popular trail in Southern Canberra.

Great with a dog in tow. But beware the mobs of roos, they conive to distract the best trained puppies

Great Morning hike. Brought the dog. No snakes. Some people. Great view and photos.
