Day hike Ostrov - Keilberg (Klínovec) - Ostrov Attractive hike with 10 km ascent in the Ore Mountains. Great views on the way to and from the roof of the Erzgebirge. The round is actually peppered with geocaches. Start at Hotel Subterra in Horní Ždár, a district of Ostrov. Parking spaces are available. It goes steadily uphill. After a good 6 km, you will make a good 400 m and reach Suchá. Take a short break: Restaurace U Pašeráka. Walk through the village and pass a small lake. It goes into the forest. Waymarking white-yellow-white. After a good 100m you will reach the main road and continue on the right to a refuge (N 50 ° 22.708 'E 12 ° 57.680'). Left is now a good 1km taut uphill (165 Hm). Follow the mark white-yellow-white to the Keilberg. The trails are very rocky and difficult to walk. The last 100 Hm to Keilberg you hardly notice. You can rest at a hut not quite on the wayside. Now you will be based on the mark white-red-white. After, it's goes downhill (only small waves). After you will reach the Sporthotel Mustek that sells small beers. Continue towards Jáchymov. You will see the big roundabout. On the bike path back to Horní Ždá (Ostrov) to the parking lot. Conclusion: - Beautiful but challenging Erzgebirgswanderung - almost 1,000 Hm - 10 km uphill - Refreshments - enjoy the view here: N 50 ° 24.217 'E 12 ° 56.251'Show more
