Excellent trail with stunning views. Would suggest going outside of tourist season to avoid crowds and more expensive entrance fees.

Beautiful waterfalls throughout. Relatively flat and easy hike. Some slippery, steep parts you can explore with caves. Free shuttle and ferry can take you to different entrances. We went in late fall with perfect weather (sunny and little chilly about 50°F) and little traffic.

Great trail! Definitely recommend!

No pictures can't do this place justice! Lots of people at all the parking spots and around the waterfall, but the rest of the trails (A,K) we only came across a few other hikers. No need to wear major hiking attire, this is more of a nature walk with mostly flat terrain and almost no incline.

Awesome views!!! Mostly leisurely hiking. Beautiful falls!

I'm an avid hiker and just did Tour de Mont Blanc and parts of Dolomites this month but the intensity of beauty of this trail was nothing I've ever seen. Almost as if the whole park was artificially landscaped in perfection. I arrived to my hotel that's located inside of the park at 4pm the day before I purchased the one day park pass. And found out the hotel validates further days of park pass after your initial purchase while you are staying which means you only need to buy one day and if you want 2nd or 3rd day pass while staying hotel it's free. I walked up to the park at 5pm to get some info for my next day hike and the staff let me enter the park for free as there were only 2 hrs left till it closes. Around 1hr into the K loop pass P1, I saw first set of travertine walking through boardwalk all to myself! I couldn't believe the prestine turquoise watered lakes, streams and water falls. The next morning I hiked the entire loop. There were mass crowds around each parking lots or boat stops. Beyond that hardly anyone on the trail. Very easy to navigate, just follow the sign K and this app. Well kept, clean, quite flat trail. It took about 4 hrs stopping numerous pictures. Half of trails were shaded and breezy.

Beautiful park but SO BUSY! We arrived right when it opened at 7am but within a couple hours it was packed. The upper lakes weren’t worth the extra few hours. Get there right when it opens and stick to trail A. You’ll see all the good parts and get out before it gets really crazy.

Awesome!...better than that.

Beautiful trail, especially where the most touristic trails don’t mingle with this one. You’ll see most of the park, including the highlights. Keep in mind that it can be really busy and crowded at certain spots. If you want to avoid this, get to the park first thing in the morning!

Magnifique mais trop de visiteur à certains endroits... l’entrée du parc et le parking sont très chers.

Stunning views but this is a very crowded trail! We did the H route which allowed us to see both the upper and lower lakes. If you want to get away from the crowds a hiking trail might be the way to go. The down side to that is you won’t be right next to the lakes. I would definitely take the time to see a few of the cliff views as well. The viewpoints from up top are worth it! Also don’t be afraid to just walk back to your entrance instead of taking the boat. It’s only a little over a mile (maybe) and there’s less people. Plus you’re right next to the lake the whole way back! Also don’t come expecting to swim because it is prohibited. This is a view only experience, and you must stay on the paths. However it’s very flat and easy. I did it in flip flops and was fine but if I had to do it again I’d definitely wear tennis shoes.

parts of the k trail around the upper lakes are fairly muddy. this was in mid june

we hiked the K trail from entrance 1. about 18.1 km. great hike that takes you through the whole park. trail was mostly empty and we ran into people only a handful of times except for when the path met with the shorter trails that many visitors and tour groups opt to take.

if you love nature you will love these trails. 100% must do for any hiker of all levels.

Fantastic park with fabulous views. Would definitely recommend getting here earlier in the day to avoid big crowds

Very beautiful walking trail. It was crowded when we went but absolutely breathtaking and worth the visit.

The west side of lake Proscansco starting from 44.853228,15.589275 towards north is off-trail and packed with bushes, branches, fallen trees, .... It looks like this part used to be an actual trail in the past but it's not maintained at all now and I don't recommend hiking in that part of the trail. The rest of the trail is nice.

Simply Stunning. Cant get much better (if only you could swim!). Spent the whole day hiking around the beautiful bodies of water and plenty of places to stop and take in the views of crystal clear lakes and an abundance of waterfalls! Difficulty : Moderate, fairly basic with a few rough patches, being around a lake majority of the hike is flat, but once you get to the upper pools/waterfalls it can be steep and un-even. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Beautiful. Busy but it wasn’t so busy for us as we came in early September

Loved our day spent here. Beyond beautiful.

We hiked the “E” trail because we arrived in the afternoon - it’s a 2-3 hour hike. Absolutely beautiful - hard to describe with words. A wonderland of flowing water, waterfalls, crystal clear blue water. Worth any time you can spend there. We hope to return some day to hike the whole area - an 8-9 hour experience. We hiked barefoot even on the wooden walkways. Otherwise, good shoes are recommended. We parked in parking lot 2 and started our trail after a short boat ride across the lake.

Extremely photogenic park with a variety of hiking trails. We hiked programme "K" which was about 11 miles long. Get to the park early to avoid the crowds that peak in the afternoon. Here is my trip report with a bunch of pictures: https://backpackersreview.wordpress.com/trip-reports/croatia-national-parks/

Wow. Wow. Wow!! If you’re in Croatia, this is a definite must. There are plenty of bus day tours to the park from Split and Zagreb, but I highly recommend spending the night at one of the many nearby chalet-style BandBs. The valley is GORGEOUS and will give you the time to explore the park at your leisure (and also see Slunj!). I parked and began at entrance 1, doing the entire perimeter of the lakes including the upper lakes (the upper lakes aren’t included in the AllTrails map). This added up to 10-11 miles (ignore my recording; I somehow accidentally deleted my recording mid-trail), but 85% of the path is flat so easy-peasy. Don’t worry: you still earn your beer reward at the end! It took me six hours at a pretty leisurely pace with lots of breaks to take it all in and a ton of photo stops (thank Gawd film is a thing of the past). Some tips: - Absolutely start when the park opens (8am spring/fall; 7am summer). Why? Because of those “plenty of bus day tours” I mentioned. The park gets crowded, quick, and you want to jet ahead of the (annoying) single-file lines of tourists taking selfies. - Wear hiking boots if you have them. You’ll be thankful for the extra grip and carefree slogging through the mud on the legit “K” trail portions. - Pack your own food! There are a couple places along the paths to pick up coffee and grab a bite to eat, but it’s over-priced and low quality. Besides, you’ll want to picnic here. - I did (and most do) the path counterclockwise. I read that going in reverse can give you some extra solitude, but I have to tell you... going against the crowds seemed worse than following in line. - Enjoy! This is one of the most pristine places on earth!

On the right side of the trail many parts are flooded so be prepared to climb a bit if you don’t want to get wet.

Excellent trail for everyone to enjoy the water, waterfalls and the leaves color at fall time. Most shady and well marked for directions. Shuttle bus and boat riding are great services. Strongly recommended for any level of physical conditions.

Incredible views, try to avoid the tourist groups as they are very slow moving. Make sure you bring a raincoat!

Water falls everywhere! Very busy though
