This is the easiest mountain to climb in all of Rarotonga (except for the rock cliff which requires climbing with hand and foot for about 10m of elevation). Above the cliff is the relatively flat mountain top with many small tracks criss-crossing. The view from the top is not spectacular but pleasant. Like all tracks on Rarotonga it is not well sign-posted.Show more

Of the ascents in Rarotonga, this track the easiest to find. You want to be sure-footed as there are many potentially treacherous spots were you go along the ridge edge. There are ropes at the steepest parts but good footholds are often missing so when it gets wet it gets difficult. Show more

Difficult to find after turnoff from two-wheel track. Use/follow  your GPS. Once on the ridge you can not miss the track. Sure-footedness required. Requires stamina. Avoid when wet.Show more

The first part of this track is like a tunnel in the undergrowth. It seems the track is only marked where it is visible anyway - when there is no visible track there seem to be no markers either. (red splashes of paint on trees). There is a broad, wooded ridge there to follow but no marks and very poor track visibility.Show more
