This hike is awesome!! I’ve been there 3 times, you can even drink water from the waterfall (best water ever) comes directly from the mountain.

Really good hike to exercise yourself in nature while getting amazing views and getting to know the Colombian Andean forest and how some local flower farms look.

La caminata no es muy técnica. Es exigente pero los paisajes que se pueden merecen el esfuerzo

The hike is easy as the trail is also a road made of dirt and/or cement blocks. The town, the people, the jungle and the food make this hike a trip of a life time! I have traveled extensively and lived in other countries and I was surprised at how open, friendly and social the Colombians are with foreigners. Love Colombia ❤ I stayed at Minca Ecohab Hotel and it was fantastic. Breakfast was included and Restaurante Santisabella right in Minca had amazing food.

A great but strenuous hike accompanied by an excellent guide. Alfredo Correa from Cocuy. Missing from the list of hikes is that to El Púlpito del Diablo and el Pan de Azucar 25km. We did this with Martha Correa, also a great guide.

We stayed at the town called El Cocuy. Next day we got up around 4:30 am and took a car that drove us to the base camp of the mountain. From there, we payed a guide and the package included ~ 2h horse ride through very steep trails that was a bit scary but exciting to do. Then we had to hike for about 3 hours to get to El pulpito del Diablo and Pan de azucar Glacier (5070 m). There are trails that you follow, but at some point you have to climb trough rocks, some of them loosen. It was very safe and beautiful. From the top you see an incredible view. The second day we hiked to the Laguna Grande de la Sierra. It was an easier hike!
