WALK WITH CARE Our tour began arriving in town usme we had enrolled in a walk with guide of the aqueduct but they did NOT confirm with the other people and only we both arrived, they told us that we could go but under our responsibility so being close we decided to go to the lagoon La regadera, a beautiful and quiet place but we did not find rangers in the almost 4 hours of walking around the lagoon, then we found the road that leads us to the chisaca reservoir. Upon entering the tour for the Chisaca reservoir we did not heed the warnings they have for not going to some places that are somewhat dangerous, fortunately we found a ranger from the aqueduct company who told us that it was very risky to be alone in that place. "Several people have been robbed, disguised as guerrillas and with shotguns and scrambled, they removed their cell phones and even raped young girls" this comment and several other stories he told us as he accompanied us on the way out. He was an angel on the road. The site is beautiful but you must go in large groups or accompanied by rangers and guides.

Very well paved route from start to finish and the sight is amazing at the top. Gondola to go down is 12000 COP and everything besides the restaurants are cash only

Had a blast with a group from church, would highly recommend to everyone!

Relentless stair climb with no flats and high altitude. Worth it for the views and the beer at the top.

very demanding trail for a decently in shape person coming from sea level. views were fantastic, and there were a lot of stands on the way up. not sure if this was standard or only there due to the Easter holiday

It was hardest hike I ever did in my life and I have been hiking for a while. Due to 2300 meters of elevation you have to hike, you’ll feel like your heart is going to jump out of your chest. Amazing view on the top but I wouldn’t do this ever again. Save yourself and take cable car or train up. If you still want to hike then once you get to the top, you always hike on the trail for little bit to get feel of it.

Grueling uphill the whole way and some 2300 meters of elevation over 2 km BUT what a view! Absolutely stunning vista from the top and well worth the hundreds of stairs and throngs of people.
