I visited in March when the rains/snow tend to be heaviest. The hike from Xidang to Yubeng was tiresome- around 1100m ascent and it began snowing heavily around half way into it. Once the ridge has been created the views have way to a looming Meili Xue Shan/Kawagebo draped in snow and cloud. It was truly stunning. The most beautiful place I have ever hiked was in this Yubeng area.

Started at Jiangou village, climbing to the Temple, paid tickets 40 Yuan, than climb for the first peak out of three. Beautiful trail , some steep descent and accents, The visibility wasn’t good to look from the mountain. Most recommend

Trail is made of stone steps and in very good condition. Jan 1st was a beautiful day for a walk. The up hike can be tiring if your not in good shape.

This was the first backpacking trip I ever did in 2012 and it’s still a great memory.

amazing hike. very good work out coming up from the bottom, you are not required to pay which is so good. November is the best time to come we saw very few people all around which makes the experience so beautiful and awesome.

This is one the only decent hiking trails of this Wuxy city. you dont need to start where is marked since you can drive up a little. ok for walking after big lunch.

Very steep sometimes. Well paved. Lots of steps. Excellent views.

Nice walk, I'd say maybe more on the moderate side since there are some uneven stairs. There is always either a rope or rail to hold though. I was there the last week of October and conditions were perfect

Very popular trail in Shenzhen to scale the tallest mountain here. The footpath was very long, some sections very steep, and always crowded. Found some peace and solitude at a bogota near the Small Wutong top. Signs were hard to read and need better indicators of exact locations and distances.

This is a new path, made with stones. On rainy days much better than the smooth stone steps. Get valley view.

This is one of many small trails in Tashan park. This on is all cement steps up and down with few level areas. Caution, there are signs to be aware of snakes. They do exists in the park but I have never seen one.

First part can be difficult due to muddiness especially if it’s been raining. The hike is best and the views become most epic from the Tea Horse Guest House onwards. Can be done in one day without much issue, in contrast to most advice given.

Overcrowded.

Lots of slippery stairs. Friendly people. Nice to get out of the city.... unfortunately it was drizzling and raining so no view at the top. I have done quite a bit of hiking in Taiwan, Japan, Shandong, Anhui, and Zhejiang and I’d rate this as a “just okay” hiking trail.

Absolutely incredible hike! We did this ourselves with no guide, and we were the only ones on the wall until it joins up with the restored section. It’s easy enough to follow the path through the forest up to Zhengbeilou Tower and from there pretty straightforward to follow round to Mutianyu. Unreal views and 100% better than when I did Jinshanling to Simitai 10 years ago! Would do this hike again in a heartbeat!
