Best views trails in San José de Maipo, Santiago

This viewpoint located in the area known as Cajón del Maipo is a very popular destination for condor watching, as its name implies. The trail starts at La Cabrería and goes around El Morro towards the west, and after half an hour it opens onto a large valley, known as the La Engorda Valley, with meadows that are sometimes used as pastures. Continuing east through the Estero de la Engorda that is crossed after an hour of walking. When the valley begins to twist slightly to the south, the trail veers to the left and goes up a subsidiary valley that falls from the east. It is green and brings a visible stream. Ideal route for a half of the day hike along the Sendero Hacia Marmolejo reaching more or less up until the Quebrada La Engorda and the fork in the road that continues to the Marmolejo Volcano and the road to the San José Volcano.
