The Quebrada de Macúl is the ideal place for a natural getaway for a day or half a day. The main route follows a trail surrounded by green on the banks of the gorge itself, being able to visit the Mirador de la U, the San Juan Waterfall and another waterfall of approximately 12 meters. You can bathe in its refreshing waters, rest among nature or visit some of the other trails within the Park (there are both shorter and easier trails, as well as longer and more challenging, for example the Cajón del Muerto).Show more

If you get to a locked gate with a "No Passar" sign, you turned to cross the creek too early. Go back and continue up the trail until after you see two large rocks with white writing. The actual trail crossing may be overgrown with blackberry bushes. Just after you cross the creek you will see a rock face to your right (see picture), and the trail continues to the left. Show more

Most of the route is shared with the Quebrada de Macúl. After the Mirador de la U, almost near the San Juan Waterfall, the road forks and you will continue along the Aguas del Maqui trail passing through the Altas Cumbres Natural Viewpoint and the Jmanaya Viewpoint. From Alto de Potrerillos it becomes the Cajón del Muerto trail and continues up the mountain, taking a steeper slope, to the top of Cerro de La Cruz.Show more
