Took in most of the boardwalk, the upper and lower decks, and both welcome centers. Very nice layout, I was surprised I walked over 3.5 miles with a nearly 1,000' elevation gain. Spectacular glacier, about 100 square miles in area and you can see a lot of it as you climb the boardwalk. It calves often, moves, sounds like a 45 pistol sometimes, fireworks other times, then giant chunks cleave off. Really cool and really wide. One of the few glaciers that is growing some although it's getting thinner. A must see.

Took a nice Xmas Eve walk about the town. Went down to the port then continued along the water then cut thru Nuevo Natales back to the church. Went to Xmas mass at the church there, preceded by happy hour at the resto/bar/shop across the street, then hit the pizza place right after mass for a nice dinner. That worked out quite well, what a great intersection...it has everything we needed on Xmas Eve!!

The mini-trek on the glacier is fabulous. Then views from the boardwalk give another perspective. I’ve been to glaciers in Alaska and Canada and nothing compares to this place!

I recommend taking the red trail. It contains the lowest and closest views (as seen on my recording, not sure why it lapses). One gets a great perspective.

Went while it was raining and it was just amazing.

exciting view

Must Do .. Walking round and gaining a view of the Moreno Glacier is a great experience and the trail is very well laid out .. However, if you make the trip all the way down, highly recommend to complete the trek onto the glacier .. an amazing life experience.

I went during February when it was the summertime in Patagonia. There were few parking spots so one has to show early but the trail and view of the glacier is a step away from the parking lot. The trail is on metal walkways and you can't get to close because there is ice constantly falling. It was incredible to see so much ice that extends so far back. The glacier's wind was absolutely cold, even during the summer. The glacier lake that it feeds is a stunning site to just sit down and witness all day. It is a life-changing experience to see Perito Moreno.
