Length: 10.5 mi • Est. 5 h 39 m
This hike follows the Avillas river upstream to a suspension bridge and returns on the other side. There are pretty steep inclines on this trail and the narrow trail follows a couple of ledges on very steep hills, so definitely not for people with fear of heights. This route can also be extended into a point-to-point but continuing north to the Jeinemeni Trail.Show more

The Cerro Castillo Circuit is one of the most popular trails to hike in Patagonia. No crowds, no lodges, just nature and Patagonia at its finest. The circuit takes you through the best parts of Cerro Castillo National Park and through two incredible passes so you can stand face to face with the Castillo spires and glaciers. This follows the road up to the viewpoint. The road is not passable without a high clearance vehicle. You won't need 4x4 though, at least not for the first 3km. If you have a regular car, park at the campsite and hike up. The view at the end is incredible. Please note that Patagonia Park is only open October - April annually.Show more
