There is a path blocked by some big rocks. If you head up that path there is a great view that overlooks danceland, the entire community and the lake. As well there is a kind of secret path that leads down to Wellington park. Try it out.

This was a great trail. We were able to catch a free guided tour of the trail one evening. It was very interesting and the guide was very knowledgeable.

We liked this trail. The kids had picked up a pond dipping kit at the visitor center and this was the trail recommended to us for this activity. It was easy for the kids and my parents.

Hiked this trail in the winter. Beautiful views. It was well traversed and easy to navigate. Would recommend for anyone looking for an easier trail!

This is an amazing run! Incredible scenery, lots of climbing, beautiful country, lots of down hills, did I say how amazingly beautiful it is? Highly recommend this one.

I lived in LaRonge in the late 80's and this was one of my favorite running trails. I even managed to do a few times without falling down. The trail was well maintained and signed back then but this is no walk in the park and despite being on a peninsula, every so often someone would wander off trail and need help getting back. I do have friends who took mountain bikes out to the end and they posted some excellent photos online not that many years ago.

In the summer of 2016 I attempted to find this trail while out running. I got to the start point which is a gravel stockpile but this is the first time I have seen a map. From what I remember, it appears the trail goes down the old highway which is pavement with trees growing through it. I obviously missed where the trail cuts off to go on the loop but now that I have a map, I'll have to run back there and try again.

There is a hill from the parking lot to get to the trail.

Park hours are from 7 am to 11 pm.

Hiked it this morning. Great!

It is a very interesting place. it is always changing, on the wind

An amazing trail! Definitely more of a hike than some of the other ones which are quite flat. Quite a few stairs, the woods are beautiful, great views of the lake, and SO quiet and peaceful.

Short trail. Great views of the prairies

I came to Saskatoon for work. Ran 6miles around the river at sunrise. Easy walk to any point of the trail from most downtown hotels which was great. Great houses to look at, intertwined with trails, pavement and bridges. Got a great view of a hot air balloon. Some hills and straight away so you get a good run!

The boardwalk section is a wonderful scenic walk along the river, with lots of great vantage points for viewing the river and its abundant bird life. The loop through the forest is less interesting.

Great short hike with a variety of terrain. close to the core area so you can get an ice cream after the hike.

A great family trail

This trail is actually a loop. The quiet of the morning is a wonderful time to visit. Very steep climbs are encountered on the return leg, making parts of the trail more difficult than moderate.

This trail takes you through some native prairie on the top of the Cypress Hills. There are some spectacular viewpoints to the west end. Parts of the hike pass through active pastureland, so close encounters with cattle are certainly possible. Recommended to hike early or late in the day, to avoid the scorching prairie heat. Late day excursions offer some pretty spectacular sunsets.

A short hike through lodgepole pines, offering some nice views down into the surrounding valleys

This trail is a short easy hike near the Cypress Hills town site. Parts of it are paved and heavily trafficked, while others diverge from the main path, where you can find a bit more solitude.

A pretty easy ride, I did about a 9 mile loop. The old train bridge was fun to cross.
