Beautiful and easy for the whole family. We saw many frogs and a beaver up close! Not much traffic at all on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.

Great hiking in the réserve écologique. We combined three trails to do a greater loop. Beautiful scenery, very low traffic and well maintained trails. A good alternative to the Busy Gatineau park (although not free). I will definitely go back!

Actually the trail name is "Le Cendré"! Sorry for the typo!

A nice trail - you are walking on moss half of the time. We saw a deer eating peacefully in the woods and lots of mushrooms growing on the side of the trail.
Major obstacle in the summer: the trail goes down into a valley where you have to walk through about 200 metres of stinging nettles because the trail is a bit overgrown. Wear pants just in case!

Decent view of Lac La Blanche.

A nice walk through a stand of old growth (400 year old according to the website) Western Quebec hardwood forest. There is also a small waterfall. In the fall the colours are spectacular and the trail is much less crowded than anything in Gatineau Park. A bit more challenging than most Gatineau Park trails, but nothing a little kid can't handle (with some help!). There is also a nice interpretation centre.
