Did this trail in winter. You have to walk on the road for 5km before climbing on the trail. It give you nice views!
Did it until rhe first point of view and then go back down.
If you have some energy continue until km18 and go back from the trail on the orher side of the river!
19.5 km in 5h30! Great experience!

Fun hike not too crazy with a good view. Accessible in the winter too!

Hiked the Johansen trail on March 8th 2018 with snow shoes. The trail seems to be passed over with a snowmobile once in a while. While physical demanding, it's a very rewarding hike. Very little human contact. Returned via Les sommets and the whole hike (Johansen + Les Sommets) took about 5 hrs (including a 30 min stop at Pic Johansen).

Incredible hike! Very long hike and hard on the knees but very rewarding

Nice trail (avg time : 3-4hrs) but way too many people at the time I went.

Beautiful views, nice trail. Rated very difficult by the national park, but moderate is more realistic.

The first part before the top of Mont du Lac deq Cygnes is the best part! Views are really great! Be prepares it's windy up there...

Such a great snowshoe hike! The scenery is amazing, and what about the views!
The beginning is hard but you won't regret!
I choose to stay the night in the hut La Voie Lactée on the top of Mount Megantic and I recommand the experience!
It took me 5 hours to get to the hut and then 2 to ger back to the car!

Best place close to Montreal for snowshoeing! Take the little detour to Lake Spruce before going up to the to! Amazing views up there!
Took a bit more than 3hours for the out and back!

Very nice in winter

Bon hiking d'hiver en crampons

kind of nice but the noise coming from nearer cars turn off a bit

My tip: Bring lots of water and sunscreen. Amazing hike.

Vraiment super beau au sommet .

I like hiking on this trail for elevation gained similar to many high peaks in ADK NY. It’s good for preparing before heading to high peaks.

It's beautiful in winter! Mes enfants ont apprécier car il y a beaucoup de plat entre les montées.

Trail "La Pioui" is wonderful all trail long. It's rugged and strenous, just the way I like it. The trail offered a lot of amazing viewpoints. Photographers will be filled. The lake is quiet and resourceful and the summit is windy and astonishing. You can go down by the same way you went up if you have enough time and energy (7km) or follow the maintained and large trail to arrive as soon as possible (3,7km). This last one is pretty easy, but the descend is a little boring. Running can be a good option. I do this hike every autumn.

A little crowded but most people stop at the first two levels. if you go all the way to the top bring something to put on your shoulders as it gets a little cold and windy. the view from the top is amazing. make sure you follow the signs because theres more to see once youre up there. was a very fun day i loved it.

Paysage Magnifique !! Très belle randonnée

Great trail all year long !!

We’ve completed this hike twice now, and both times enjoyed it. This year was a little snowy, so hiking was slower, but still very beautiful views. If you’re hiking the ridge to the Grand Manitou Lodge/Gondola to get down, it’s fully open and you’re on the ski slopes - very miserable if the snow machines are on.
