SUMMER ONLY.
Do NOT try to walk/hike this trail in the winter. The signs are not clear, but the NCC Conservation Officers were out in full force and handing out tickets because the trail is for Cross Country Skiing only in the winter. ”Best used April-October” should actually say ONLY to be used April-October.
GREAT trail though. Definitely worth checking out. A few steep hills in each direction, but not too bad and lots of great views make it worth it. But wait until winter is over!

Easier than expected, but a great view from the top!

Today we went to see if there was enough snow for snow shoes but there isn’t yet so we decided to hike trail 5 which includes the summit. Great work out and and we will return. I see some posts below that mention the trails are not well indicated. This must have been improved because there are signs everywhere.

Great for bicycle and skate, Walk with baby and Family.
Can be a busy place.

belle journée ensoleillée de décembre....assenssion quelques peu glacé près du sommet mais aisément surmontable

Fantastic loop for XC skiing with natural break opportunity at the Huron cabin. The #3 is incredible.

Love trail

Amazing place!

Nice four hours round trip. About 8 to 12 inches of snow along the way. Cloudy sky on a snowy day. We did it in hiking boots without crampons. Fun.

Nice lake, waterfall and ruins to look at while walking. A few hills but nothing steep.

Wonderful in fall, just beautiful.

super belle endroit mais la rivière est super poluer

Correct; nice fall walk on the trails; signage is not pertinent, but it if you want an easy hike with kids it is worthwhile.

Absolutely love this trail. The lake is beautiful and it’s just long enough to feel like you got a decent workout. There are usually quite a few people on the trail, which is to be expected at the Gatineau Park. I would recommend it as a nice outing for the day. Lots of places you could sit and have a picnic after.

We really enjoyed this trail but agree that you need to map out the trails in advance. We ended up tacking on an extra 3k to our hike because we took the wrong trail.

It’s pretty wet and muddy in certain areas right now but the fall colours are beautiful!

Very nice and relaxing place to visit. Little walk close to river and old buildings

Great trail and amazing for kids too. I did this one twice already with my 8 & 3 years old and they loved it. My 3 years old keep asking to go back. At the end when he was getting tired of walking we were doing little games like « tag, the first to touch the sign or even races » this made it more fun and enjoyable for the kids on that way back. We will go back again

One of great provisional parc of enjoying the maple trees. Very well instructed in the parc.

Super endroit

Fun hike, beautiful waterfalls!

Really nice biking tour by the canal! You can also go further on the other side and having a longer time biking.

All in all a great day. Hike up is a large rocky trail.... Crash site is worth the walk up. The trail that takes you back down the mountain is amazing!!! Very muddy and slippery thought due to rain. Total hike is 13km

Great trail with good views. Tricky enough trail with easy to find signs along the way.

The views of Montreal are incredible from the lookout and make it worth the trek alone. If you wander past the lookout, you will be rewarded with many miles of beautiful trails, ranging from large roads to small sandy foot trails. This is the best view of a city I’ve ever seen from the ground and definitely should be part of any trip to this historic town.
