Majestic walk. One of the best in Gatineau Park. My K9 and I loved it.

Two steep hills. A great trail. Nice views of lake. The ruins and waterfall make the trek worth it.

Lovely hike! Wish I had time to go further out but it was a great trail to get in some exercise and explore. The ruins was neat with the water falls next to it made for great photos!

Super belle course, peu accidenté!

Fairly easy walk out to the ruins. Dogs are allowed on the trail. Ruins are worth the trip!

A great hike and workout!

Good little trail but...NO DOGS ALLOWED

Very nice, quiet trail. Sometimes the trail is a little hard to find/follow.

Still my most-frequented and one of my favourite Trails ever!! Easy hiking, with a great view of Meech Lake along the way. The Ruins are basically a big playground and you can just walk all over the whole area, up the waterfalls, into the building, along the side of the water. Looks great from all angles and just stunning all year round! It's my favourite place to bring people who've never been to Gatineau park before. Love love love

great hike

Took the pup on this hike and he quite enjoyed it, as did I. Not a super long hike, but enjoyable and the pup definitely slept the whole way home in the car!

Wide trail with some moderate elevation changes. Great reward at the end with the ruins and small waterfalls. Not overly strenuous but quite enjoyable

Love taking the off trail way to the ruins. Right after the bridge follow the small path to the right beside the water. Leads to the ruins as long as you stay near the water. Wonderful views of the lake.

A beautiful hike, steep hills, mostly paved . There are no signs to tell you the direction so I recommend a map. The waterfall and ruins are a hidden gem in Gatineau park . A few places to swim . Would definitely do this again

Nice easy hike, not a lot of traffic and pretty sweet view for very little work! Pretty lakes along the way - good option for a pleasant afternoon walk in the woods.

Easy to do with kids and dogs. The ruins are worth the walk

it is a 1 km walk in each direction from P11.
The hill has a steep incline than it levels off, 1/2 way in there are rocks and tree roots
that stick up in a few places.

A very enjoyable hike. Didn't take long to reach the ruins though the trail was washed out a bit after a weekend of heavy rain. Highly recommended for the history buff as the old mill is fun to explore.

Route 36 has tree roots and rocks sticking up in a few places like the Lauriault trail.
Walked 5.1 going to and from the Carbide Wilson Ruins.

Great family hike!

Rather easy trail, good to do with the kids. Nice water lands along the way that make for a few nice pictures. The hike starts at the intersection of the Huron trail (blue square #3) and Ridge road. You will come across a few intersections with other trails, such as #20. The trail up to the lookout is Black diamond #28. Don't be frightened by the black diamond. The trail gets steeper, but remains very accessible. Instead of going strait up to the lookout, why not continu on trail #3 until you reach the road, and then turn around to come back. This will give you a few extra km on your hike and lead you through some nice water lands. The distance to the road is 5 km. The trip there and back, plus the lookout, totals out to about 11-12km and can be done in 3h (that is with breaks to take pictures and enjoy the view). The lookout would be a nice spot to have lunch!

Short hike but really cool to see the ruins, for sure! Great photo op!

It's an enjoyable trail, particularly good if you're short on time. You can easily link to another longer trail if you need a bit more of a challenge after getting to the ruins.
